Mushoku Tensei season 3 release date might not be what fans expect! The next part coming out is actually season 2, part 2.
Season 2 Part 1 already came out in 2023. This confused some people into thinking the next episodes are of Mushoku Tensei season 3 when they continue season 2.
We don’t know the exact premiere date yet for the return of Rudeus, Eris, Ruijerd, Roxy, and maybe new characters too.
But get excited for it likely coming out sometime in 2024 or 2025. The light novels and manga that the anime is based on still have so much awesome story left to animate.
That means the Mushoku Tensei series overall may keep running for a few more whole seasons even after this upcoming part 2.

Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Release Date and Time
Remember the party-popping announcement back in October 2021? That’s when Studio Bind declared they were conjuring up not just one, but two cour (chunks) of Mushoku Tensei season 3 (actually season 2)! Fans cheered louder than Roxy casting “Grand Aqua Burst,” and the wait began.
Season 1 came out during Covid-19 pandemic, it was planned to release in one go but Studio Bind had to split the season into two cours. That created confusion among viewers that the upcoming season is going to be Mushoku Tensei Season 3, actually it’s second season.
Fast forward to July 2023, the first cour kicked off with Rudeus and his crew diving headfirst into labyrinths, dodging dragon girls, and navigating Eris’s tsundere maze.
Every Sunday was a portal to adventure, with Rudeus leveling up his magic and our hearts swelling with each heartwarming reunion.
But alas, even epic journeys have rest stops. The first cour wrapped up in September 2023, leaving everyone thirsty for more. Though, fans are looking for Mushoku Tensei Season 3, the new episodes are going to be the part of second cour of second season.
Thankfully, the wait won’t be as long as a teleport malfunction! Studio Bind’s already brewing the second cour, scheduled to arrive like a mana potion in April 2024.
That’s right, mark your calendars! Get ready for more Rudeus-powered mischief, epic battles that’ll rival Sylphy’s windstorms, and maybe, just maybe, a resolution to the Sylphyette vs. Eris rivalry (no bets on who wins that one!).
Mushoku Tensei Season 3 Episodes List
There is no official episode list for Mushoku Tensei season 3 because it hasn’t premiered yet, but we’ve covered the episodes from the second season.
Mushoku Tensei season 2 part 1 premiered in July 2023. An episode 0 was released on 3 July 2023 before the premiere of original episodes. The upcoming episodes will continue Rudeus journey to reunite with his family along with Sylphy’s search for Rudy.
Episode 0 “Guardian Fitz” (2 July)
The episode zero is titled “Guardian Fitts” that is continuing the story of Sylphy after the disappearance of Fittoa region.
She accidentally falls into the Asura Kingdom to save the princess from a dangerous wild boar and is now living as Fitts, one of the guard of Princess.
Episode 1 “The Brokenhearted Mage” (9 July)
The episode introduces us to the remote northlands where Rudeus meets and joins a party named Counter Arrow and encounter a girl named Sara, whose behavior appears similar to Eris.
Episode 2 “The Forest in the Dead of Night” (16 July)
A few months after staying in the northlands, Rudeus builds his fame and ask other adventurers to spread his name so that he will get some information about his mother Zenith and teacher Roxy.
Episode 3 “Abrupt Approach” (23 July)
The episode begins with a small romance between Rudeus and Sara that starts with Sara conveying her feelings to him. However, the romance didn’t last longer because the manhood of Rudeus didn’t rise. The episode ends as the stepped leader Sol invites him to join his party, Rudeus accepts the invitation.
Episode 4 “Letter of Invitation” (30 July)
Rudeus becomes famous after defeating the giant Red dragon singlehandedly as the part of Soldad’s team. Elinalise informs her about the whereabouts of Roxy and Zenith.
Episode 5 “Ranoa University of Magic”(6 August)
Rudeus and Elinalize reaches Ranoa Magic Academy. Rudeus meets Zanoba, Fitz, Cliff and other students at the university. Zanoba still thinks Rudeus as his master and invites him to make dolls when everything will get sorted.
Episode 6 “I Don’t Want To Die” (13 August)
Rudeus starts studying about the teleportation accident and starts to develop a romance with Senior Fitz but he still thinks that Fitz is a man. Since Zanoba is unable to mould dolls due to his lack of skills, he along with Fitz went to purchase a slave for him.
Episode 7 “The Kidnapping and Confinement of Beast Girls” (20 August)
Zanoba confessed that he lost to beast girls Pursena and Linia in his first year and they break his dolls of Roxy but he saved Ruijerd. Out of anger, Rudeus captures the beast girls and do some lewd things.
Episode 8 “The Fiancé of Despair”(27 August)
Rudeus introduced Cliff to Elinalise as he has developed a crush on her even after knowing about her curse. The mating season of beast race arrives and Rudeus defeats all the beastmen of school including the Demon King Badigadi. Hopefully, we will be able to see Elinalise again in Mushoku Tensei Season 3 along with other sexy anime girls like Roxy and Eris.
Episode 9 “The White Mask” (3 September)
Fitz advised Rudeus to consult a summoning magic specialist Sevenstar for a better understanding of subject. Rudeus was shocked to see that the girl is Nanahoshi, the one who saved him from Orsted’s hands as his companion.
Episode 10 “These Feelings” (10 September)
Rudeus realized that he has developed romantic feelings for Fitz but is still confused about her true gender. During a meeting at the library, Senior Fitz falls on him by which he is able to confirm that Fitz is indeed a female and holds the key to cure his ED.
Episode 11 “To You” (17 September)
Fitz reveals her memories and lewd imagination with Rudeus to Princess Ariel and Luke on insisting her while the Princess pushes her to bring her actual identity to Rudeus and the episode ends on an emotional note. You can read episode 11 recap from here.
Episode 12 “I Want To Tell You” (24 September)
Senior Fitz aka Sylphy cures the ED of Rudy and the two enjoys the night. Lady Ariel invites Rudeus to the Asura Kingdom but he declines their invitation by saying that he has to look for his family while announcing his marriage with Sylphiette.
So, Mushoku Tensei Season 3 will continue the marriage life of Rudy and Sylphiette.
Is the new season of Mushoku Tensei season 2 or Mushoku Tensei season 3?
The upcoming season will be the second season of Jobless Reincarnation not the third season as fans are searching. So, why does viewers are looking for Mushoku Tensei season 3 when season 2 hasn’t released yet.
Actually, this confusion was created when first season of the show was split into two cours due to Covid-19 pandemic and now fans are thinking that the upcoming season is the third part but actually it’s second.
Mushoku Tensei Season 2 part 2 also expected to have 13 episodes like the part 1 (depending on the LN arcs).
On 16 March 2022, an OVA was released by the creators that sets during episode 16 of the anime series. The extra episode titled “Eris the Goblin Slayer” showed only Eris as the main character.
Moreover, a brat magician named Cliff was also introduced in the episode who was impressed by Eris’s skills and develop feelings for marrying her. He even proposed her but rejected.
Also, the isekai anime series is quite popular and manga is still ongoing with 25 light novel volumes released till now. On the review aggregator website Animelist, the show is rated 8.3 out of 10.
Out of which, only six volumes are covered for one complete season with 23 episodes and the story ended with the completion of Homecoming arc. Season 2 will open the story of Rudeus travelling with Roxy and Sylphy.
Mushoku Tensei second cour was released on 4 Oct 2021 and kept running till 20 Dec 2021 with the release of 12th episode.

An official trailer was released in March 2023 and now, a second trailer has been released for Mushoku Tensei Season 3 that showed the daily lives of Rudeus and his comrades. We have been jobless since the first season and hopefully, we will be able to get back on the job soon.
How many episodes will Mushoku Tensei have?
Currently, Jobless Reincarnation anime series has a total of 36 episodes. Season 1 (Jan 11, 2021 to Dec 20, 2021) has 23 episodes and season 2 (July 3, 2023- Sep 25, 2023) has 13 episodes.
The number of episodes is going to increase with the release of Mushoku Tensei Season 3 that currently have 36 episodes. An episode zero has been released before the premiere of original episodes.
What will happen in Mushoku Tensei Season 3?
Mushoku Tensei season 1 finale ended with Rudeus moping with his past memories. Rudy and Sylphyette (Sylphie) tie the knot in the later episodes.
But wait, there’s more! Eris is still in the picture, adding a spicy tsundere twist to the marital mix. The love triangle between Rudeus, Sylphie, and Eris continues to simmer, with plenty of comedic moments and heartfelt exchanges.

Actually, I can’t watch the next episode of Mushoku Tensei after Eris and Cliff part. Is there really a episode 25? I just found this anime on YouTube and there’s no episode 25. Only 24.
The 24th episode was an extra episode or you can say, an OVA which is different from the anime plot. Only 23 episodes are available for season 1 which are connecting the plot. Soon, a second season will be released and will show you the time when Eris and Rudeus parted their ways.
