Mindhunter season 3 is one of the most awaited thriller series among mysterious TV drama fans that is yet to be renewed. Netflix remains silent despite the show’s executive producer, David Fincher talks about the renewal of the series for a third season. Mindhunter is an American crime thriller TV series created by Joe Penhall whose story moves around two FBI agents who running a training division at the FBI academy in Virginia. The story sets in the late 1970s and shows the events in the founding of the behavioral science unit in FBI at the beginning of criminal profiling.
Will there be a season 3 of Mindhunter?
Netflix announced in January 2020 that a third season of Mindhunter is on indefinite hold and it will be released in the near future, TVLine reported. The show has not been cancelled by the original network but a release date is yet to be announced.
The first season premiered in October 2017 whereas the second season was released on Netflix on 16 Aug 2019. Following this trend, Netflix announced the potential for a third season in Jan 2020 but the show is on hold as Fincher wanted to give his time on some other projects. Fans don’t want to see the end of this crime thriller series as Prison Break season 6 that was supposed to be the finale season but concluded with a 5th one. However, Netflix’s Wentworth season 9 is a great choice to watch instead.

Mindhunter season 3 is expected to be release in the next five year since October 2020 on Netflix as per a report by Small Screen. It will be having a total of 8-10 episodes with an average running time of 45-70 minutes like the first and second seasons.

Bill’s adopted son Brian was also involved in a murder not actively but still he is hiding the truth from his parents. Moreover, we saw in the ending of season 2 that the family of FBI agent has left home, Mindhunter season 3 will tell the reason why his wife and son chose to left him over. More serial killers will be shown and it will be interesting to see how duo of FBI agents will handle them.
