Hallmark Christmas movies countdown is ticking and the second movie(after Noel Next Christmas) of the catalogue We Need a Little Christmas is all set to release. The movie is scheduled to arrive this Saturday, 22 Oct after and will exclusively premiere on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel.
It stars Erica Durance in the lead role of a single mother named Julie who has recently moved into a new home with her young son Gavin. Her neighbor is an elderly woman Irene who is self sufficient but deep inside, she needs someone to share her story.
The movie is directed by Kevin Fair from the scripts given by Graham Locke, and produced by Gilles Laplante under Old Films Inc from the story of Angela Mancuso & Graham Locke.

We Need a Little Christmas was filmed in and around Kelowna city, British Columbia inside Canada. Principal photography took place in the month of August 2022 while another Hallmark film Autumn in the City was filming in the New York town of B.C.
The city of Kelowna is located on Okanagan lake in the in the southern interior of British Columbia. It is the third largest city of B.C. after Vancouver and Victoria.
Even though, the two cities are more popular among filmmakers, there are a number of movies which were shot at the Okanagan valley like A Winter Princess and Raise a Glass to Love that features Mirabel vineyards.
The population of the city is not that huge but you will find a lot of taller buildings like One Water Street, the beautiful sandy beaches provide an opportunity for swimming, skiing, and fishing.
Moreover, the place is affordable and is often undervalued as a major country, you won’t belive but the real estate cost in Kelowna is 30% less than Vancouver and 18% less than Victoria.
Erica Durance recently shared on her instagram that she enjoyed the filming process along with her fellow cast members and the Hallmark production staff. Also, the student actor Azriel thanked the Kelowana team and the Crown Media that made the film possible.

We are glad to see Erica Durance once again after Color My World With Love and North to Home. Hallmark needs to understand the talent of this young woman, she can do miracles if given the right role.
The second important character of the movie is played by Lynn Whitfiled along with Patrick Sabongui (Hello, Goodbye Everything in Between).
Other cast members include Azriel Dalman as Gavin, Byron Wilson, Toby Marks, Brenda Lee Howard, Ryhs Cawley, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Scott Brown, Rick Worall, Angelica Clarissa Lo, and Tara Whatley.
We Need a Little Christmas Synopsis
Julie moves to her new home with her young son Gavin. She finds that her next door neighbour Irene is an elderly woman with a zest for life. The elder woman shovels her own driveway and still looks active in her 60s but lacks social skillls and minds her own business.
This is the first Christmas of Julie without her husband and this makes her connected with the older Irene. Will this mutual connection bring the two widows together?
