The new faith-based Hallmark movie An Easter Bloom takes us through a beautiful floral town as a young gardener struggles to save her family farm.
Directed by Anthony Metchie from the script of Michael Grimm, the film stars Aimee Teagarden and Benjamin Hollingsworth in the lead roles along with Robyn Bradley, Frances Flanagan, Drew Henderson, Lily Yawson, Avril Nickolls, and others.
The film is from Timeless Pictures, and is produced by John Prince, with Ben C. Silverman, Alexandre Coscas, Michael R Goldstein, and D’Angela Proctor as executive producers.
An Easter Bloom Filming Locations
An Easter Bloom was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada over a period of two weeks. January 29 has been mentioned as the shoot date of the movie, per the report of FTIA.
Downtown Vancouver
With its mix of historic and modern architecture, the city streets provided an enchanting backdrop. You can also recreate your own easter bloom moments by strolling along Robson Street, Vancouver’s iconic shopping and dining destination.
Stanley Park
No visit to Vancouver is complete without exploring the natural beauty of Stanley Park. Situated right in the heart of the city, this sprawling 1,000-acre coastal rainforest offered a tranquil escape for the film’s crew and actors.
The park’s scenic trails, majestic trees, and panoramic views of the North Shore mountains might be used in the shooting.
Steveston Village
The quaint seaside village of Steveston, located in the city of Richmond, likely used with its charming heritage buildings and picturesque fisherman’s wharf. You can easily imagine scenes being filmed along its boutique-lined streets like Moncton Street.
Kitsilano Beach
With its golden sandy shores fringed by swaying trees, Kitsilano Beach along English Bay offered a tranquil oceanside setting.
Perhaps the lead characters shared a romantic stroll along the water’s edge with the North Shore mountains forming a majestic backdrop. The beach’s huge outdoor pool may have been used for filming as well.
Canada is a popular filming hub for most of the films, some of the recent productions include Shifting Gears, 3 Body Problem, Killing for Extra Credit, The Bachelor 2024, Death and Other Details, etc.
Behind The Scenes
While downtown Vancouver formed the primary filming hub, the production travelled out to residential neighborhoods across Greater Vancouver.
Charming homes in cities like Langley, Surrey, and Burnaby provided additional backdrops for this heartwarming Easter tale.

An Easter Bloom Cast
Aimeé Teegarden as Amanda
Aimee Teegarden is a California native, who got her big break starring as Julie Taylor on the acclaimed series “Friday Night Lights” at just 16 years old. Now, she is appearing in the new seasonal film “An Easter Bloom.”
In the heartwarming movie, Teegarden plays Amanda, a young gardener struggling to save her family farm by entering a floral competition.
But when a local pastor enters her life unexpectedly, Amanda finds herself torn between her losing faith and the possibility of new love blossoming.
Teegarden has starred in several of the network’s feel-good films including “My Christmas Family Tree,” “A New Year’s Resolution,” and “Once Upon a Christmas Miracle.”
Off-screen, the free-spirited Teegarden is a fitness buff who has competed in races and an outspoken animal advocate working with the Best Friends Animal Society.
Benjamin Hollingsworth as Derrick
Benjamin Hollingsworth is starring as Derrick, the local pastor in the An Easter Bloom movie. Beyond his role as Derrick, Benjamin boasts a diverse and impressive career.
Hallmark fans can recognize him from previous roles in “Love Under the Olive Tree,” “A Splash of Love,” and “Romance in Style.” He has also starred opposite Hollywood A-listers like David Duchovny, Demi Moore, and Liam Neeson.
But Benjamin’s passion extends far beyond acting. When he’s not entertaining audiences, this devoted family man (he has three children!) enjoys hitting the ice as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, exploring nature through hiking and fishing, and giving back to the community.
Moreover, Benjamin has a long history of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and homeless shelters, reflecting the same compassion and kindness he brings to his characters.
