Me Before You is a 2016 British romantic drama film, directed by Thea Sharrock in her directorial debut, and the screenplay is written by English journalist Jojo Moyes.
Based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Jojo Moyes, the film stars Emilia Clarke as a small town girl Lou, as she falls for a handsome man she’s taking care of. The man just got paralyzed after meeting a road accident in London and also forms an unlikely bond with her caregiver.
The sweet romance movie was released on 23 May 2016 in selected theaters of NYC, before a wider release on 3 June 2016 in US and UK cinemas. It was a major box office success that made a huge collection of $208.3 Million, against the budget of $20 Million.
