Beef was announced as a limited 10-part series but fans are fallen in love with the series so much they need a Beef season 2 right now.

Created by Lee Sung Jin, the pscychological comedy drama series follows a near car parking accident that turns the two complete strangers into well known foes, Amy and Danny learn more about each other’s families as the journey progresses.

The series has been produced by Jes Anderson, Savey Cathey, Inman Young, Alex Gayner, and Matthew Medlin under A24, Buji Productions, Universal Remote, Domo Arigato Productions, and Bugsy Bell Productions.

Will there be a Beef season 2 on Netflix?

As of April 2023, Netflix has not yet renewed the Beef for a second season. Neither the series has been cancelled nor renewed by the streaming network.

When does season 2 of Beef come out?

Season 1 was first announced in March 2021 when the Oscar nominee actors Steven Yeun and Ali Wong were set to star in the series. Additional cast details were made public in March 2022 and the filming began in April 2022.

Filming for the season one wrapped on 29 May 2022, director Lee Sung Jin shared on Instagram with a clapperboard in his hands. The post production took another 7-8 months and the series premiered at the SXSW Festival on 18 March 2023 before airing on Netflix on 6 April 2023.

Currently, season 2 of Beef has not been announced by Netflix but since the first season took a long time even after the announcement, this season is expected follow the same journey.

The showrunner has revealed that he has planned at least three seasons while talking to Rolling Stone. Lee said that there are a lot of ways for Danny and Amy to continue the journey. He said, I have one big idea that I can’t really say but I have mapped three seasons in his head.

If the series has been renewed for a second season in May 2023 then Beef season 2 will be released in June 2025. It will have ten episodes in total with a running time between 30-39 minutes.

What will happen in Beef season 2?

The first season ends with Danny lying on a hospital ventilator after being shot by Amy’s husband George. However, he’s not dead as he sends Paul text messages in the final moments and is also seen replying to Danny’s text messages.

So, what could be the plot of the series now? Maybe, Amy will try not to divorce her husband George as he helped her in getting over with Danny. What will be the reaction of their daughter June and what will be the next step of Amy?

It was a limited series so the story can progress in any direction like, it will show Amy and Danny as childhood friends, office colleagues, arch rivals, or business tycoons like Regus Patoff in The Consultant season 2, another psychological comedy of Prime Video.
