Passport to Love Filming Locations
Passport to Love was filmed across Scotland, Turkey, Finland, and Tahiti over a period of six months. Principal shooting began in October 2022 under the working title ‘Four Corners‘ and wrapped in March 2023.
Göreme Town, Cappadocia, Turkey
The Cappadocia region of Turkey is known for its unique geological formations and cave dwellings. That’s why, the production team began shooting from this side. Specifically, production took place in and around the town of Göreme, the main tourist hub of Cappadocia.
Shae Robins, the lead actress of the movie also shared a few behind the scene photos and short clips, when the shooting was ongoing in Turkey.
Göreme lies in a valley surrounded by towering “fairy chimney” rock formations, volcanic plugs sculpted by erosion into fantasy-like shapes.
The natural landscape seems almost alien and provides an unearthly backdrop for romances – and rivalries – to unfold.
Ancient cave-hewn architecture is built right into the soft volcanic tufa rock, including dwellings, stables, and churches decorated with Byzantine frescoes.
In Göreme, passages from the movie were filmed with this fairy tale-esque landscape as a picturesque backdrop. Lead characters stroll the rugged hiking trails and are seen entering the famous rock-cut churches as they explore the region’s fascinating sites.
Visitors to Göreme can recreate scenes from Passport to Love movie while also enjoying hot air balloon rides over the stone hoodoos, exploring underground cities and cave churches, shopping for local handicrafts, sampling hearty Cappadocia cuisine, and taking in a whirling dervish performance.
Robins also provided an update on 8th of October 2022. She wrote in the caption:
‘That’s a wrap on Turkey’

South-Western Scotland, United Kingdom
The scene where Nicole receives a call from Miranda was done in southwestern Scotland, UK. Here’s an overview of the scene:
Nicole and Kade were having a blast exploring Dunskey Estate in Scotland. The sun kissed their faces as they walked hand-in-hand, the cool Scottish breeze carrying their laughter.
Suddenly, Nicole’s phone buzzed. It was Miranda. As Nicole answered, her smile faded. Miranda’s voice, scratchy from the long-distance call, dropped a bomb: Kade wasn’t into Nicole!
Apparently, the whole “spending time” thing was just his way to one-up Nicole in their travel blog competition. The grand Scottish backdrop suddenly felt cold and harsh, mirroring the chill creeping into Nicole’s heart.
With a heavy sigh, she hung up, the promise of a perfect day shattered against the rugged cliffs of Dunskey. Could Miranda be right? Was Nicole’s dream summer love just a cruel game? To know the story, you need to watch Passport to Love movie.
Dunskey Estate, Scotland, UK
Dunskey Estate dates back to the 12th century, with the current castle built in 1820. It has 32 rooms and features striking Gothic Revival architecture with towers, turrets, and castellations.
This imposing Gothic castle sits dramatically on a hill overlooking the sea and made for a perfect setting for the seaside rental property featured in Passport to Love movie. Robins shared a short sight-seeing clip on her Instagram to show us the magnificent castle.
The surrounding estate spans 2000 acres and includes formal gardens, woodlands, pastures, and over a mile of scenic coastal views making it a scenic backdrop for the developing romance between the lead characters in Passport to Love movie.
Visitors can tour both the castle and the grounds. The closest town is Portpatrick, a charming fishing village with quaint cottages, pubs, and seafood restaurants.
Those, planning to visit Dunskey Estate and experience the same lovely coastal views and cozy interiors that the characters had in the movie will find this southwestern corner of Scotland so good. It has much to offer for a romantic getaway.
This magical setting enchants the viewer just as much as it does the on-screen couple in Passport to Love.

Tahiti, French Polynesia
Tahiti, the largest island in French Polynesia, served as a picture-perfect backdrop for some opening scenes in “Passport to Love.”
The film’s director Brian Brough fell in love with the island’s natural splendor during his location scouting. And it’s easy to see why.
While the exact filming locations haven’t been officially revealed, here are some guesses based on reports from fans and local media:
Matira Beach
This postcard-perfect beach, known for its white sand and calm waters, is a popular tourist destination and could have been featured in scenes depicting the characters’ romantic encounters.
Moorea Island
Nicknamed the “Magical Island,” Moorea is known for its lush rainforests, dramatic waterfalls, and traditional villages. It’s likely that some of the film’s more adventurous scenes, showcasing the island’s natural beauty, were shot here.
Tahiti Tourisme Board
Production team of Passport to Love reportedly received support from the Tahiti Tourisme Board, which often collaborates with productions to showcase the island’s diverse landscapes and cultural experiences.
This suggests that some scenes might have been shot at locations specifically chosen to highlight the island’s tourism potential.

Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, Finland
While the majority of movie takes place in coastal and Mediterranean settings, the climax scenes were done in Finnish Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle.
The lead characters travel to the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort near Saariselkä for a chance encounter against the backdrop of snowy boreal forest and the Northern Lights.
Kakslauttenen is known for its signature glass igloo accommodations, which allow for nighttime views across frozen Lake Inari while cozy under the covers.
These peaked glass igloos provided a suitably romantic and improbable rendezvous point for the story’s lovers as part of the resort’s efforts to promote Finnish tourism.
In addition to the glass igloos, Kakslauttanen offers more standard hotel rooms and log cabins, as well as restaurants and an ice bar serving drinks in ice glasses. Guests can go dog sledding, snowmobiling, skiing, or meet Santa Claus himself along with his reindeer.
Whether under the Northern Lights or the Mediterranean sun, Passport to Love makes the most of its scenic filming locations to showcase romance across different landscapes.
For travelers and romantics, visiting these spots lets them follow in the movie’s footsteps while taking in both natural beauty and old-world charm.
