Lifetime’s SUMMER countdown is here, and this year kicks off with another drama thriller I am your Biggest Fan, directed by Haylie Duff (A Cindrella Story (2004), The Perfect Man (2005), and Material Girls), from the scrips of Emily Golden(Colors of Love, The Hollow One, and Baby Monitor Murders).
With Denise Gossett in the lead role of Miranda, the movie follows a popular television actress who is forced to deal with online predators in the form of film producers, and face the public outrage.
On a journey to revive her career, she meets a young girl who claims to be the biggest fan of her work, but things take an ugly turn when she realized, how manipulative the girl is.
Where was I Am Your Biggest Fan filmed?
The Lifetime film was shot on soundstages at the brand-new LEX Studios in Lexington, Kentucky. Lexington’s shiny new movie studio – a converted 50,000+ sq. ft. cineplex – gave the filmmakers top-notch facilities to bring the story to life.
Principal shooting for the movie took place in late 2024 (after the studio opened in mid-2024) and wrapped up in time for the May 2025 premiere. LEX Studios, Kentucky’s largest film and TV production facility, was ready for major projects immediately.
In fact, by the end of 2024, the studio had hosted dozens of hours of true-crime shows and TV movies (helped by Kentucky’s 30–35% film tax credit).
In addition to I Am Your Biggest Fan, other Lifetime and TV movies (especially crime and thriller titles) are slated to film at LEX, making it a busy hub for producers.
The new studio’s abundance of space (over three sound stages, green rooms, and crew dining) meant the production could build complex sets and move quickly.
LEX Studios, Lexington, Kentucky
LEX Studios is housed in a former Lexington movie theater. It was transformed by local investors Misdee Wrigley Miller and James Miller into a 3-soundstage complex.
Today, it boasts over 50,000 square feet of indoor space, acres of outdoor backlot, and production offices and support spaces. The facility was designed as a “living set” – its halls and rooms can double as a dining room, courtroom, hospital wing, FBI lab, or morgue, even including a built-in movie theater. This versatility meant the Fan crew could shoot many scenes without leaving the lot.
LEX’s owners pride themselves on “Kentucky hospitality” – a comfortable, top-of-the-line stage experience with gourmet crew dining and VIP guest services.
The studio’s manager notes that having offices, stages, and editing suites in one place helps productions run smoothly. And thanks to Kentucky’s lucrative tax incentive (a 30–35% rebate on local spending), LEX is attracting many projects.
As one studio press release explains, “LEX Studios not only offers the technical infrastructure necessary for high-caliber productions but also grants access to Kentucky’s rich variety of filming locations.”
In short, LEX Studios is new and modern, with all the tools needed to make a TV movie feel big and real – from police stations to living rooms.
I Am Your Biggest Fan Cast
Denise Gossett anchors the movie’s lead cast as Miranda, a TV actress haunted by an obsessive fan. Gossett has a long career in TV and film – she’s appeared on shows like The Office and Veronica Mars and in indie films such as Get the Gringo (2012).
- Denise Gossett as Miranda. Gossett’s character is a successful actress tormented by stalkers and online attacks. I Am Your Biggest Fan is her lead role, and she brings experience from many TV guest spots (e.g., The Office, Zoey 101) and indie thrillers.
- Meghan Carrasquillo as Delilah. Playing the teenage fan, Carrasquillo is an up-and-coming actress. The script calls for her to switch from sweet friend to dangerous captor, and Carrasquillo has the range. (Her credits include smaller horror and drama movies.).
- Colton Tapp as Cody. Tapp portrays Miranda’s boyfriend or ally (Cody). He’s a young actor in indie films like Expulsion (2020).
- J. Barrett Cooper as Barry. Cooper plays Barry, a friend or coworker in Miranda’s life. Cooper is a veteran stage and screen actor (and fight choreographer) who has directed Shakespeare and worked in theater for years.
- Lauren Cole as Ellen. Also starring is Lauren Cole (role: Ellen), who appears in the film as Miranda’s best friend.
Each of these actors works together under director Haylie Duff.
What is the Movie About?
The story of I Am Your Biggest Fan centers on fame and obsession. Miranda (Gossett) is a former child star now starring in a hit sitcom. She has been dealing with negative press and online trolls, so she moved out of Hollywood to get some privacy.
There, she meets Delilah (Carrasquillo), a bright teenage fan who adores her. At first, the encounter is innocent – Delilah wants an autograph and some advice. Soon, however, Miranda realizes something is wrong. Delilah’s fixation turns dangerous, and Miranda ends up as a hostage in the girl’s warped fantasy world.
In short, Fan is a thriller about what happens when a fan’s admiration goes too far. It “takes a look at the ill side of stardom,” as one summary puts it. The film builds suspense through their cat-and-mouse games, mixing a small-town Kentucky feel (thanks to LEX’s sets) with the high tension of a kidnapping story.

The film was directed by Haylie Duff (Hilary Duff’s sister), who also co-produced. Duff is an actress-turned-director with experience in TV. The screenplay was written by Emily Golden, whose credits include TV movies and series. Producer Danny Roth (RNR Media) oversaw the production, a Kentucky shoot from start to finish.
Filming at LEX Studios meant the crew had local support every step of the way. Kentucky’s robust film incentive program (a 30–35% cash rebate on qualified expenses) helped budget the movie.
