Fate: The WINX Saga is a supernatural teen drama series created and written by Brian Young from the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club that was released in 2004.
It follows the story of a fire fairy who enrolls at magic school in the fantasy world where she meets with other fairies to fight the Burned Ones.
The dark fantasy television series is produced by Jon Finn, Macdara Kelleher, Edmund Sampson, and John Keville under Archery Pictures, Rainbow S.p.A., and Young Blood Productions.
Where was Fate: The Winx Saga filmed?
Season 1 of the show was filmed around Wicklow Country, Ireland covering Bray and Ballyhenry. Principal filming began in Sep 2019 and wrapped up around December 2019.
Most of the filming took place at Ardmore Studios and Killruddery House in Bray. The Killruddery house serves as Alfea School of Magic in the series. It is one of the greatest mansion of Ireland located in the outskirts of Bray, Southern Dublin.
Several indoor scenes were filmed in Ashford Studios, Ballyhenry. The Powerscourt Waterfall has been featured in the series along with another tourist attraction Stone Circle that is located near Ballyhenry town.
Fate: The Winx Saga Season 2 Filming Locations
Season 2 was also filmed within the same country Wicklow, Ireland where season 1 was shot but the towns were different this time. Filming began in July 2021 and wrapped up around November 2021 following all precautionary measures of Covid-19.
Blackbridge town was utilized to film the scenes that shows Sebastian operating the First World Goods store in the picturesque village of Avoca. The old ruins shown in the episode 4 is an actual hunting lodge named Hell Fire Club located at the top of Montpelier Hill in the capital city of Ireland.
