The Walker Independence is a 2022 period drama series developed by American writer and producer Anna Fricke for The CW Network.
Originally created by Seamus Kevin Fahey and Anna Fricke, the show sets in the 1800s and stars Katherine McNamara in the main role of Abby Walker as a rich Bostonian whose husband is murdered in front of her eyes.
The western television series is produced by Karen Moore and Sean Sforza under CBS Studios, Rideback, CW Network, and Pursued By a Bear Productions.

Walker: Independence was filmed in Santa Fe, New Mexico during July 2022. The state film director revealed that the filming for the series begun on 18th of July 2022 around Santa Fe while the pilot episode was filmed in early 2022.
The New Mexico Film Office also shared that the production employed almost 275 NM crew members, 14 Mexico residential actors, and more than 3500 background talent. However, the original Walker series was filmed in Texas.

Synopsis
The series follows a wealthy and tough minded woman named Abby Walker who is seeking revenge for the murder of his husband who was executed in front of her eyes.
She cross paths with another Apache tracker named Calian who accompanies her to a small town of Independence where she encounters the eclectic residents running from their pasts.
Abby also meets a con artist with a broken heart who quickly accepts her and assures that her husband will got justice for sure.
In the long journey, Abby encounters noble deputy sheriff of Independence, Tom Davidson who seems to be a bad man but nothing will stop her until she is with Hoyt Rawlins.
