Amazon Prime has released its first romance movie of 2023 as Somebody I Used to Know, the movie is directed and written by Dave Franco. Her wife Alison Brie has co-written the scripts and is also starring in the film as a workaholic lady who reunites with her ex-boyfriend Sean.

Amazon Studios announced on 29 Sep 2021 that the production of Dave Franco’s Somebody I Used to Know has begun in Portland, Oregon. On 8 Nov 2021, Brie shared on Instagram that the filming has been wrapped.
Most of the shooting was done inside Portland metropolitan area along with other cities like Estacada and Newberg. Production team setup a camp at the McMenamins Gearhaeart Hotel located at 1157 North Marion Avenue, Gearheart.
The cast members were spotted shooting some scenes in Leavenworth, Washington during the final days of filming. When Dave was asked regarding his filming choice about a small Bavarian town of Leavenworth in the US state of Washington.
He replied that one of his friend’s family has a house there and he went to her sister’s wedding in the same village. The place stuck with Dave and ultimately it become a perfect location for the shooting of the film.
Moreover, the cast was spotted at Blewett Brewing Company at 911 Commercial Street, Rhein Haus Leavenworth at 707 US Route 2 unit f, and Munchen Haus at 709 Front Street, Post Office Saloon at 213 9th Street, Woodward Street, and Benton Street.
