Hunter x Hunter Season 7 is one of the most awaited martial arts anime TV series among fans.
Based on manga of the same name written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi, the series follows inspiring journey of a young boy named Gon who departs on a journey to become a skilled hunter and strong anime character after passing the Hunter annual examination.
The adventure anime series was directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi, written by Nobuaki Kishima, character designing was done by Takahiro Yoshimatsu, an production is done under Madhouse Studio.

No official news is available regarding the release of Hunter X Hunter Season 7 and some manga insider sources are even claiming that here will be no season 7 for HXH. The series was completed with the sixth season finale on on September 23, 2014 with the 148th episode.
Fans were expecting that Hunter x Hunter will return sometime in 2023 with another 12 episodes like the previous seasons but Madhouse hasn’t updated any info regarding the renewal or cancellation of the series.
There must be a good reason why the show has stuck in production hell. If the end result is a cancellation then it would have been cancelled already in 2014. But still in 2022, there is buzz all around the globe regarding the release of another season of HXH.

However, Togashi has confirmed that he will continue to release new manga chapters. Currently, a total of 36 volumes are in circulation out of which almost 32 volumes are adapted into animation series.
The Madhouse animation studios has produced six seasons of Hunter x Hunter from 2011-2014 with a total of 148 episodes. Out of them, three seasons premiered in 2012 alone because there were no shortage of content.
The sixth season ended with the ’13th Hunter Chairman election’ arc which also serves as the ending arc of the 32 manga volume Chapter 339.
When will Hunter X Hunter Season 7 return on Netflix?
Since no official announcements have been made on the side of original anime creators or Madhouse about the renewal or cancellation of Hunter X Hunter Season 7, we cannot say anything right now.
We have to stay positive about its renewal until it is officially cancelled. If we haven’t heard any cancellation announcement then it is possibly on a long hiatus as the studio is busy completing some other projects.

They will take much time than expected as Haikyuu Season 5, Bofuri Season 2, Mushoku Tensei Season 3, Kakegurui Season 3, Overlord Season 5, etc. are delayed.

All six seasons of HXH are exclusively streaming on Netflix inside the United States. Both English dubbed and subbed versions are available on the streaming giant.
Even though, the chances of new season are pretty slim, whenever a Hunter X Hunter season 7 becomes available, it will be released on Netflix. Firstly, all the episodes will air in original Japanese audio and English subtitles inside Japan and then it will start airing on Netflix and Crunchyroll worldwide.
Why is HXH Season 7 delayed?
The anime writer Yoshihiro Togashi’s health issues and back pain doesn’t allow him to consistently delivering new manga editions and also the reason behind the hiatus of future seasons. Also, the extreme pressure of publishing new volumes kept on pushing Togashi to work for long hours.
However, the 55-year old manga writer has planned various new chapters to feed the hungry fans and released the 36th volume in 2019, that is the latest volume released by Togasi.
May he stay well and continue to publish new manga chapters. Even though, Hunter X Hunter Season 7 is not coming, fans are still hopeful for the new manga chapters. The anime deserves another season.

Season 6 of the Hunter x Hunter was concluded when Gon was successful in meeting his father, Ging who was his true inspiration that help him passing the Hunter exam.
The two learnt from each other’s past experiences and Gon returned his father’s Hunter license to him. Knov remembers Morel fondly and Kiriko takes over Gotoh’s identity.
On the other hand, Mito got Gon’s letter and Gon rejoins the group of Kite. That’s all about season 6 ending.
Hunter x Hunter Season 7 will open with the ‘Dark Continent Expedition Arc‘ that features muscular son of Issac Netaro organizing an expedition inside Dark Continent.
