High School DxD season 5 is one of the most-awaited harem anime series whose story moves around an ordinary highschool boy named Issei Hyodo who falls in love with Yumma and got killed on his first date but revived by a female devil Rias Gremory who later makes Issei her servant.

Based on the light novel of the same name written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero, the main story of DXD moves around the struggles among the devils and fallen angels. Even though, the series isn’t that popular, fans are excited to see a fifth season of Highschool DxD after finishing the fourth season that aired nearly five years ago.

High School DXD, the popular harem anime, is returning for its fifth season. Originally slated for release in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused delays in production. The new season will likely follow volumes 11 and 12 of the manga, with the promotion exam and the devil’s skills playing a big role in the plot.

The official release date for the new season of the anime has yet to be announced, but rumors say it will take place in 2024. It will air on different channels depending on the location. The casting of the new season is still to be confirmed.

When is High School dxd season 5 coming out?

High School DxD Season 5 is not officially confirmed by the original series creators yet but it’s in the progress according to the light novel author Ichiei Ishibumi as per some unofficial reports.

In Oct 2022, the official twitter account of High School DXD posted that all episodes of the anime will broadcast on DAY 3 of Nico Nico Kadokawa Festival 2022 inside Japan. Generally, the top performing animes got this place so we can expect to hear some good news after its premiere.

Some insiders are saying that High School DxD Season 5 episode 1 will come around July 2024 on AT-X inside Japan and Funimation inside the United States but nothing has been announced by the original animation studios.

We can’t say if they are just rumors or a new season is under production because the official anime site hasn’t posted anything since 2020. However, Ishibumi shared on the 14th anniversary of High School DXD serialization that more manuscripts are coming of High School DXD Hero Part 2.

Why was High school DXD delayed?

Season 5 of High School DxD was originally set to release in November 2021 but due to coronavirus pandemic, it had been delayed to 2023. Only God knows if the anime will be delayed again or not.

The anime adaptation first premiered in 2012 and gained a lot of popularity pushing the animators to make a 2nd, 3rd, and a 4th season that released in 2013, 2015, and 2018. Now, fans are eager to watch High School DXD Season 5 on Crunchyroll.

The first 3 seasons were published under TNK animation studios but in the 4th season the anime studio swapped with Passione making most of the people worrying that they even encourage people to sign the petition to bring old style back.

No official release date has been announced yet for High School DXD Season 5 by any animation studios but rumors has it that the new season will be released around 2024 inside the United States.

There will be a total of 12 episodes with an average running time of 23 minutes. The uncensored versions will be released exclusively on AT-X for Japanese viewers and censored version will be aired worldwide on Funimation and Hulu.

There is a lot of manga material left for adaptation. Only 10 volumes are adapted out of 25 available volumes including short story collections and spinoffs. High School DXD Season 5 story will progress in a mature direction where the guys will have their own girlfriends.

Even if a new season of Highschool DXD doesn’t come out, you can always watch Vermeil in Gold, Redo of Healer, Date a Live, World’s End Harem, Is it wrong to pick up girls in Dungeon, Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World, and similar other ecchi anime series that will give you the similar perverted feeling.

However, the level of High school DXD season 5 remains on the top. It has the best storyline among all harem fantasy series but we really can’t say anything about the show’s future if the creators remained quite.

Another sweet relationship exists between Kitagawa and Gojo in My Dress Up Darling which has been already renewed unofficially for a second season. According to Anime News and Facts, the series is under production.

What to expect from High School DXD season 5 plot?

High School DxD Season 5 might adapt 11th and 12th volume of the original light novel series as the 10 volumes were completed since season 4 released.

The new season will start with middle class promotion test that will pair with the ranking used to denote the ability of a devil.

Passing this test will hardly makes any difference for Issei, even if he got good marks, he should still put just above the low class. On the other hand, Koneko has come to know that Issei and Rias are coming more closer.

She is worrying about it and acting stressfully, Issei needs to find a way to calm down her insecurities.

However, this is just our expectations and we can only predict things when there is no official synopsis or trailer available for the new season of this anime. Mushoku Tensei Season 3 is also confirmed and the day is nearing when we get to see Rias Gremory reuniting with the protagonist for the next episodes.

The erotic simulation of high school girls will continue to grow and each girl will try to make physical contacts with Issei.

Probably, he will become the professor of school who will be assigned to teach the girls and guide for future.
