Christmas on Cherry Lane is the newest Hallmark channel film that takes us through the picturesque Christmas-y backdrop as the story unfolds between three power couples at different stages of their lives.
Directed by Gail Harvey from a screenplay of Rick Garman, the family christmas movie stars Catherine Bell, Jonathan Bennett, Erin Cahill, and John Brotherton as leads. The movie also features gay couple and gives us a homosexual christmas vibe.
The film is from ML Productions and is produced by Antonio Cupo (To All a good night) and Stephen Harmaty (A World Record Christmas) with Kimberley Bradley and Jonathan Eskenas as executive producers.

Christmas on Cherry Lane was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada during June 2023. The shooting wrapped in July 1 on the final day of filming, cinematographer David Bercovici-Artieda shared on Instagram with the caption, “Last Day.”

Catherine Bell as Regina
Catherine Bell is a popular actress known for her roles in TV shows like “JAG” and “Army Wives.” She played a lawyer named Sarah MacKenzie on “JAG” for many years. She also played Denise Sherwood on the Lifetime series “Army Wives.”
In 2019, fans were excited when she appeared again with her “JAG” co-star on “NCIS: Los Angeles.” Hallmark viewers have seen her as Cassie Nightingale in the movie series “Good Witch.” In Christmas on Cherry Lane, she stars as Regina.
Originally from London, Bell moved to Los Angeles at age three. She started out modeling while studying engineering in college. This soon led to acting roles on TV and in movies.
Some of Bell’s other projects include Hallmark Channel movies like “Meet Me at Christmas” and “A Summer to Remember.” She has also appeared on shows like “Last Man Standing” and “Law & Order: SVU.”
Jonathan Bennett as Mike
Jonathan Bennett is best known for his breakout role as the handsome and popular Aaron Samuels in the 2004 hit comedy Mean Girls. In Christmas on Cherry Lane, he stars as a gay man named Mike.
Since then, he has gone on to star in a number of Hallmark Channel romantic comedies including The Christmas House franchise, for which he plays a gay lawyer, and Wedding of a Lifetime, in which he plays one half of a gay couple preparing for their big day.
His portrayal of gay characters in The Holiday Sitter and other Hallmark films has earned the network GLAAD Media Award nominations.
In addition to his Hallmark projects, Bennett has appeared in films like Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and Van Wilder: Freshman Year, as well as TV shows such as MTV’s Awkward and Hit the Floor. He currently lives in LA with his husband.
Erin Cahill as Lizzie
Erin Cahill first became famous in 2001 when she played the Pink Power Ranger on the TV show “Power Rangers: Time Force.”
Since then, she has been in over 100 movies and TV shows. She stars in funny shows, thrilling movies, and romantic Hallmark films.
Cahill has been the lead actress in 7 popular Hallmark movies so far. Her newest Hallmark movie is called “Hearts in the Game.”
When she isn’t acting, Cahill works to raise money to build schools for students in poor countries like Nepal and Malawi. What a kind woman!
John Brotherton as John Hamilton
John Brotherton isn’t just a Hallmark hunk! He is an actor who has been in many popular TV shows and movies like he was a regular cast member on the show “Fuller House” on Netflix for five seasons. In Christmas on Cherry Lane, he portrays John.
He also starred in some Hallmark movies like “The Christmas Contest” and “Lights, Camera, Christmas!” and in Christmas on Cherry Lane, he is portraying the role of John Hamilton.
Some of the bigger movies he has been in are “Furious 7” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.” He started his acting career after he graduated from college at Oregon State University.
Now he lives in Los Angeles and continues to act in shows and films.
James Denton as Nelson
James Denton, the handsome star of Desperate Housewives, wasn’t always sure about acting. He started his career as a basketball player, but fate had other plans!
One day, he got a part in a local production of Our Town, and fell in love with acting. He moved to Chicago and soon became one of the city’s hottest actors!
He later went on to star in lots of popular TV shows and movies, like Desperate Housewives, Good Witch, and even a Hallmark movie with his son!
Most recently, he has starred in numerous Hallmark original movies and played a lead role on the network’s hit show “Good Witch” for seven seasons.
Vincent Rodriguez III as Zian Harrelson
Vincent Rodriguez is best known for playing Josh Chan on the Emmy-winning TV show “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” The Flippino-American actor stars as the gay partner of Mike in Christmas on Cherry Lane.
He was also a stage actor in New York City for many years before moving to Los Angeles. Now you can hear him as the voice of Raiden in the popular video game “Mortal Kombat.”
