The chances of happening Treason season 2 are not very high but not that low either. So, the ship can sail into any direction, the chances are 50/50.
Created and written by Matt Charman with Amanda Duke also serving as the co-writer, the espionage thriller series follows the story of an MI6 agent who shares a sophishticated past with a Russian spy named Kara Yerzov.
The action thriller fans loved series that involves a spy, mission, target as well as politics and Treason seems to have fulfilled the desires of hungry fans. Now, fans are craving for more and searching if there will be another season of the Treason.
Will there be a season 2 of Treason?
Adam Lawence was found dead in season 1 finale so if we think that way then the story is already completed and there will be no second season of the Treason. Also, the series was marketed as a limited series and such type of series lasts only to one season.
However, Netflix has yet to made an offical announcement regarding the renewal or cancellation of the series. It might be renewed for another season like The Night Agent season 2 or got cancelled like SEX/LIFE, Uncoupled, Juvenille Justice, Inventing Anna, Midnight Mass, Never Have I Ever, etc.
That’s why, we are telling you to keep up your hopes until we heard some official words from Netflix. Most likely, the show will not return for a new season like other miniseries of Netflix that didn’t receive a renewal.
But we have a latest example of The Watcher series whose second season has been ordered by the network in November 2022. The series was also planned as a limited series but got renewal after a month of premiere.
When will Treason season 2 be released?
A second season is yet to be confirmed by Netflix but in the world of infinite possibilities, nothing seems impossible.
The show will surely find a way to continue its path with some new lead character or we get to see a spinoff based based on Adam or his Russian partner Kara.
If the renewal is announced in June 2023 then we can expect the filming to began in Sep 2023 that will wrap around April 2024.
The post production period will also take some time nearly 3 months and then the season 2 will be released on Netflix in July 2024. It will have a total of five episodes, each of which will be packed with the thrilling content and information.
Who will be in the cast of Treason season 2?
Even if Adam is no more, there are still many characters that can come into limelight like Adam’s wife, the Russian spy with whom he shares a complicated past or even the new elected chief of his agency.
Charlie Cox won’t be returning for a second season as his character was killed in the first season. Olga Kurylenko will be seen once again as Kara, Oona Chaplin as Maddy and also Samuel Leaky (Callum) and Beau Gadson (Ella) will return as Adam’s children in Treason season 2.
Other than that, CIA Agent Dede and MI6 ex-chief Martin Angelis (played by Ciaran Hinds) will return to play their respective roles as they are important for the continuation of the storyline.

As of now, there is no trailer available for Treason season 2 but we will update this article whenever it becomes available. Although, we are saying again and again that the possibility of happening a second season is pretty low, anything can happen.
What will be the story of Treason Season 2?
Kara and Maddy might become the spotlight catchers for a potential season 2 of The Treason. Another huge question is, who will take the place of Adam as the chief has been killed under the suspicion of being a double agent.
Some fans are saying that the Treason season 2 isn’t worth making if it doesn’t contain Charlie Cox but the creators know better than us so we don’t need to worry regarding the upcoming storyline that is yet to be revealed by the creators.
