The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 confirmed with a new trailer

Season 2 of The Eminence in Shadow was confirmed in the season 1 finale episode that premiered on 15 Feb 2023.

The episode ended on a sad note when Rose becomes ‘Soldier 666’ in Shadow Garden’s army after going through a merciless treatment that took away everything she had, including her name, clothes and the only memory of Cid.

Meanwhile, Shadow can be seen praising himself for his perfect role-playing with Iris and Beatrix while playing piano. The episode concludes with the falling of a black feather on piano.

The dark fantasy isekai anime series has been adapted from the light novel series of the same name written by Japanese author Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Tōzai. It began serialization online in May 2018 and is still ongoing.

A manga adaptation of this LN has also been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s seinen manga magazine Comp Ace and has been licensed by Yen Press in North American countries.

The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Release Date and Time

A second season for The Eminence in Shadow was confirmed during a special in Feb 2023 and additional details regarding the releasing schedule will be unveiled on 28 May, according to the recent announcement on the Shadow-garden JP.

The first season was released in October 2022 inside Japan and was quickly licensed by HIDIVE for international audience. English dubbed episodes started airing from 26 Dec 2022.

Some insiders have revealed that the Eminence in Shadow Season 2 will be shorter than the first season and have lesser number of episodes.

It might be because the Light novel has 5 volumes in circulation. Out of which, the first season has covered first 2 volumes and the second season will open with the Vol 3 of LN, that sets in the Lawless City.

The short clip of 26 seconds has revealed many important plot details like the legendary RED MOON, Living Corpses, The Lawless City, and villains like The Spirit Fox, Tyrant, Progenitor Vampire, that will play a significant role in the upcoming season.

Since we are entering into the lawless city, we can expect to see a den of criminals and dangerous vampires where the only Law is survival of the fittest.
