Sweet Autumn is a 2020 Hallmark movie directed by Gary Yates and written by Tyler Straessle that follows the meeting of a successful entrepreneur and a maple farmer before the arrival of autumn fest. The romantic comedy movie was first released on Oct 17, 2020 on Hallmark Channel and now it is also streaming on the official website of Hallmark.

The movie was filmed inside Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Andrew Walker joined the cast in last minute but his quarantine period ended just before a day they started filming. Winnipeg is the largest city of Manitoba where most of the Hallmark comedies were filmed like The Wedding Veil, Love Strikes Twice, Tis The Season To Be Marry, Let’s Meet Again on Christmas Eve, A Kiss Before Christmas, etc.

Aunt Dee divides her candy business between her niece, Maggie and the farmer, Dex who supply maple to her business. Maggie arrived to read the will of Aunt Dee as she has inherited half of her business. She gets completely shocked to see that the other half is inherited by Dex, who was just a maple supplier for her aunt’s business.

Both the parties discover a heap of letters left by aunt Dee and try to understand the meaning behind it. Why does she took this decision during the sweet autumn festival? What was her plan? No, the Hallmark film isn’t based on a true story. However, it draws inspiration from the real life that makes it more living. Nikki DeLoach and Andrew Walker are seen working together for the third time with this movie. Before that, the cast has worked in A Dream of Christmas(2016) and The Perfect Catch(2017). Now, they will be seen together for the fourth time in 2022 Hallmark mystery film Dying for Chocolate: A Curious Caterer Mystery directed by Anthony C Metchie.
