The story is based on the Japanese manga titled Life with an Ordinary Guy who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout.
The story follows a messed up man, Hinata and his handsome best friend, Jinguuji who are summoned to another world by a beautiful naked goddess. The original manga volumes are written by Yu Tsurusaki and illustrated by Shin Ikezawa while the music for the anime is given by Takeshi Watanabe.

Episode 9 of Life With an Ordinary Guy anime begins with Muria introducing Hinata and Jinguuji to their king who revealed that the hero summoned by their Goddess of Love is destined to defeat Demon Lord and their duty is to provide security to him. Then, the duo is invited for a huge feast where they feels attraction towards each other while looking at each other costumes but interrupt the scene with other arguments.
Hinata becomes attracted to a girl who was going to commit suicide, they talk and resolve the matter. The girl is revealed to be Princess Ugraine, she asked Hinata to make up with her and include her in the journey. However, Jinguji and the king refused the girl to follow them on their journey.
Then, Hinata follows the princess who explained her the whole matter that ever since her mother died giving birth to her, her father and the king are controlling the kingdom and will not allow her to leave the palace on her own. Tachibana tries to take Ugraine out but a rebellion starts within the palace and Muria attempts to capture the princess but is captured herself. The episode ends as Jinguuji and Shen looking for a way to get Hinata out from the rebellion.
