Black Summoner season 2 is one of the highly-anticipated fantasy isekai anime series among anime lovers. The anime is directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike and is based on the Japanese manga series on the same name written by Doufu Mayoi from the illustrations of by Gin Ammo.
The manga began serialization in Overlap’s Comic Gardo website in January 2018 and is still ongoing. It follows the story of Black Reaper Kelvin who is transported to a whole new world as a Summoner with his first follower being the very Goddess who brought him to that world.
An anime adaptation was announced in Feb 2022 with Satelight as the production studio. The series aired from July to Sep 2022 on Tokyo MX inside Japan and on Crunchyroll inside North America, Australia, and some European countries.
Black Summoner Season 2 Release Date and Time
Before asking this question, you should ask, will there be a season 2 to Black Summoner? And the answer is, there is no official news about the arrival of Black Summoner season 2 in the future. So, we can’t say anything whether it has been renewed for a second season or cancelled.
Even though, it hasn’t officially cancelled yet, we can expect it to return in the future. The first season was announced in Feb 2022 and took almost 5 months to land on the streaming platform.
Similarly, if a new season is confirmed in Sep 2023 then we can expect Black Summoner Season 2 to be released in early 2024. It will have a total of 12 episodes with average duration of 23 minutes.
Cast and Characters of Black Summoner Season 2
Kelvin is the main hero of the series who is reincarnated as the only S-rank summoner in the world who gains special abilities by bartering away his previous life memories. His Japanese voice is given by Koki Uchiyama while the English voice belongs to Van Barr.
Efil was originally a slave and a half-Elf, brought by Kelvin to be a formidable archer. She had a curse of turning anyone into ashes with a simple touch, Kelvin broke it and become her love interest. Her Japanese voice is given by Manaka Iwami and English voice is of Bev Megato. Her role will be important in Black Summoner Season 2.

Melfina is another important character of the series whose Japanese voice belongs to Reina Ueda and English to Tia Ballard. She is the Goddess of Reincarnation, reponsible to bringing Kelvin into this new world and give her powers in exchange of his memories. Melfina is so powerful that even the only S-rank summoner isn’t able to summon her true form. So, she made an aritificial body of herself as an angel who often sleep talks about food.
Clotho is a contracted Slime whose Japanese voice is given by Randhi and English by Mary Morgan. He has evolved into a Slime Gluttonia, a monster equals Demon Lords who will help Kelvin in winning many battles in Black Summoner Season 2.
Gerard is another contracted monster of Kelvin who is bound to earth by the pain of losing his wife and kids. His Japanese voice is of Yosuke Akimoto and English voice is of Bruce Carey.
Sera is the daughter of a sealed demon king Gustav who was taught to become an Arcane Pugilist. In the series, she becomes the third contracted servant of Kelvin after Clotho and Gerard. Her voice is given by Minori Suzuki (Japanese) and Alexis Tipton (English).
Ange, receptionist of the Adventure’s Guild who is secretly an assassin and is keeping an eye on Kelvin from the Reincarnation process. She ends up falling in love with him. Konomi Inagaki has given her Japanese voice while Brittney Karbowski has dubbed it in English.
Rion is a reincarnated hero summoned by Kelvin himself. She died young in her previous life from illness so, to give her a better life, Kelvin is grooming her as a Hero. The JP voice is given by Yume Miyamoto and English voice belongs to Kristi Rothrock.

Is there a trailer for Black Summoner season 2?
Since the show hasn’t renewed officially for another season, it’s hard to say when will a trailer become available and as of Sep 2023, there is no trailer or teaser for the potential Black Summoner Season 2 but for the time being, you can enjoy watching the first season.
