The Quest 2022 is a rebooted series by Disney+ whose story is based on the 2014 show of the same name that follows 12 paladins as they try to save the land from the evil Verlox. Created and directed by Bertram van Munster and Elise Doganieri, the series follows eight teenagers instead of eight who embarks their journey to Everalm.
Disney announced in January 2020 that a revival TV series is confirmed for Disney+ subscribers that will follow the same adventure, reality, and fantasy drama as ABC original. The medieval locations appear to be real and doesn’t seem to be shoot within a studio inside Europe. So, where was the actual filming took place? Let’s discover.
Where was The Quest 2022 filmed?
The Quest 2022 series was filmed at Castello di Amorosa, Napa County inside Calistoga, California, United States. Filming began in January 2021 and concluded in March 2021, The Inn on Pine shared. Burg Kreuzenstein is the restored medieval castle and armory museum where the actual filming was supposed to happen but due to Covid-19 pandemic in the middle of shooting, the producers dropped their plans to visit Austria and begin shooting within Calistoga.
The castle shown in the series is not the exact castle which was used in the 2014 part, that was Burg Kreuzenstein and this is Castello di Amorosa, a winery inside Napa Country. It was a unique setting as the 13th century Tuscan castle is a less popular place for filming located at street Helena Highway of Calistoga.
The estate property was owned by Edward Turner Bale till 2007 until the opening of a public winery. Dario Satui’s family has a history of owing wineries, the same family purchased the Castle and left a winery inside. The huge vacant place inside the castle makes it an ideal filming place for medieval series lovers. California is a famous shooting place where various tv series and movies filmed every year like Bosch Legacy, The Circle Season 4, I Love that for you, etc.

The Quest 2022 Synopsis
Eight young people gets stuck in the fictional world Everalm where life is eternal but they must save a kingdom by fulfilling an ancient prophecy. In this season, contestants are called from a world beyond the three fates. Will the new paladins been able to save the kingdom from evil? All the members have to help in bringing the balance back to Everalm.
