If you have been following Selling Sunset then you probably know that season 6 and 7 were filmed back to back. Production team and cast took a small break to celebrate the holidays and then everybody returned to start the shooting for seventh season.

Sydney, Australia

Only the first episode of season 7 was done on an Australian location. The scene where we see Chrishell Straus, Oppenheim brothers, and Marie-Lou together celebrating the holidays were done there.

Los Angeles, California

Most of the shooting was done in Los Angeles at the modern Oppenheim Group office in The Sunset Strip, West Hollywood. It serves as the central hub for the show.

Founders and brothers Brett and Jason Oppenheim manage their busy brokerage firm out of this space, with scenes showing agents gathering in the sleek conference room or chatting at their open bullpen desks. The office backdrop illustrates the luxury world these agents operate in.

Many of the spectacular properties featured this season were located in the Hollywood Hills, known for its sprawling estates and panoramic views. The Hollywood Hills is the home of real estate agent Maya Vander provided lush garden shots. A massive $75 million listing also located in this exclusive area boasted its own private helipad.

During Season 7 filming, cast members were spotted at some of the Strip’s top restaurants and clubs, including The Edition Hotel, Delilah, and Catch LA. These scenes provided glimpses into the cast’s glamorous after-hours lifestyle.

Beverly Hills

Known for its palm-tree lined streets, mega mansions, and the iconic Rodeo Drive, no show set in LA would be complete without filming in Beverly Hills. Selling Sunset showcased some of the most jaw-dropping properties in this uber-wealthy neighborhood. A $100 million estate was one of the most opulent homes ever featured.

Malibu

Long stretches of beachfront with crashing waves served as the backdrop for more Selling Sunset open houses. Several impressive Malibu listings were shown, including a massive $50 million mansion right on the sand with unobstructed ocean views. The cast was filmed touring these homes and walking the beaches.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Providing a change of scenery, cast members also traveled to the Mexican resort area of Cabo San Lucas. Here, they visited the new Oppenheim Group office location and enjoyed some fun in the sun. Scenes showed the cast lounging poolside at their luxury villa, sipping cocktails at beach clubs, and taking in the ocean views.

With its combo of ultra-luxury real estate and gorgeous Los Angeles locations, it’s easy to see why Selling Sunset remains a fan favorite. Season 7 continued to showcase some of the most extravagant homes in the most exclusive neighborhoods in LA and beyond.

Mexico is a well-known location for reality TV shows. Some of the recent productions includes Love is Blind season 3, Bachelor in Paradise, Acapulco, Paradise Hotel, Too Hot Too Handle, Ultimate Beastmaster, etc.

Selling Sunset Season 7 Cast

The main cast of Selling Sunset Season 7 is as follows:

Why is Heather not on season 7?

Heather was on a maternity leave during the shooting of the show. However, she wanted to return on the filming set, following her maternity leave, but she wasn’t called back on the filming set of Selling Sunset Season 7.

Just like you, Heather was also feeling frustrated. She filmed some scenes prior to the birth of child but those weren’t enough to feature her on the promo poster.

Yes, she was also removed from the main promotional poster, that featured all the show’s main cast but instead of feeling sad, Heather made us smile by writing,

“Looks like I got pushed in the water,” she wrote, adding, “its a good thing I can swim! Congrats to my girls on S7! 💗 You may see me in a few episodes….. 💁🏼‍♀️”

Heather and Tarek El Moussa welcomed a baby on Jan 31, 2023. His name is Tristan, sweet!

But before the birth, she had some scary moments. You can read the complete caption from her Instagram.

Heather even posted on Instagram that she’s no longer a part of SS team but the creative team of Selling Sunset hasn’t posted any such updates yet.

Probably, we will see Heather as cameo for the new season, just like Maya did before her exit last year.
