Based on the book Time for Me to Come Home by Dorothy Shackleford and Travis Thrasher, this is the the sixth installment of the popular Time For _ To Come Home For Christmas movie franchise, which premiered in 2018.
Each movie has a different setting, cast, and story but all of them are executive produced by Blake Shelton and sets in the same universe. The new film is set to premiere on Nov 30, 2023 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel.
Charles Cooper has produced the Hallmark movie under A Time Road VI and Front Pictures Production. Orly Adelson, Michael Shepard, Allen Lewis, Blake Shelton, Dorothy Shackleford and Harvey Kahn are executive producers.

The movie Time For Her To Come Home For Christmas was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada during June 2023. Filming of the movie began on June 12, 2023 and wrapped after 22 days on July 4, 2023.
The previous five movies of the franchise were also filmed at the same location, including Time for Him To Come Home For Christmas, Heavy reported.

Grace gave another update on 4th of July 2023, talking about the three weeks of filming. She wanted to show us many things but she kept it under wraps because of SAG AFTRA strikes.

Janet Kidder posted some pics on the final day of filming on June 27 with director Ali Liebert (Christmas in Notting Hill) and others. Kidder has recently posted two more bts pics on her Instagram saying that she had so much fun filming this one.

Shenae Grimes-Beech as Carly
Grimes-Beec stars as Carly, a musician who is struggling to cope with the loss of her mother. She decides to take a job as a choir director at a small church in an old town, hoping to find some peace and quiet during the holidays.
She is best known for her role as Annie Wilson on the CW teen drama 90210 (2008-2013) and she has also appeared in films like When I Think of Christmas (2022), Blood Honey (2017), The Rake (2018), The Mechanics of Love (2017), Date with Love (2016), and The Hazing Secret (2014).
Grace Leer as Riley
Grace Leer stars as Riley in the film. Leer is a newcomer to the film industry but she’s a well known music artist who loves to play guitar at music festivals. She even attended the 2023 CMA Fest before joining the cast of Time For Her To Come Home For Christmas.
Even though, she has appeared in a few short films, this is going to be her first major role in a Hallmark movie.
Chris Carmack as Matthew
Chris Carmack stars as Matthew in in Time For Her To Come Home For Christmas movie. Matthew is a soldier, who is returning home after serving overseas. He is immediately drawn to Carly, and the two of them begin to develop a relationship as they spend more time together.
Carmack is best known for his role as Will Lexington on the ABC soap opera Nashville, and in Grey’s Anatomy series as Dr Atticus Lincoln. He also starred in christmas films like All About Christmas Eve, and A Christmas Wedding Date.
