Sonny Boy season 2 is one of the most awaited sci-fi anime series among avid animation lovers. The original action-survival series anime has been created by Shingo Natsume and animated under Madhouse production. Story of this fiction is based on a 3rd year junior high school student, Nagara who seems to have no friends at school. Everything was going as usual until a day when 36 students gets transported to another dimension gifted with supernatural abilities. The Japanese anime TV series was first announced on 28 April 2021 and premiered it’s first episode on 16 July 2021.

Sonny Boy Season 2 Release Date and Time

The series has not yet renewed by Madhouse Studios or any of the staff members. No information has been released by the directorial team that there will be a season 2 of Sonny Boy. So, the anime series is not officially confirmed to return for another season but if it happens in fall 2021 then we can expect Sonny Boy season 2 to be released in Aug 2022 including the creation of characters and successful execution.

There are a lot of possibilities to bring anime back with another awesome installment as the series ended on a large twist where Mizuho and Nagara returned to the original world. They will likely to remember their past memories and share their experiences with their family members and fellow mates. Probably, the series is under production and if that’s the case then we will get to know soon.

What will happen in Sonny Boy season 2?

As we discussed earlier, season 2 will throwback Nagara and Mizuho to their past memories, they will share their experiences with everyone and nobody would believe them in the beginning. But as soon as people start to disappear or teleporting to another world, the duo comes into action once again. All the supernatural events starts to caught everyone’s attention and eventually they realize that Nagara and Mizuho were right that they have come from an alternative world. Many secrets start to unfold in the upcoming season and these can be covered in a lot of seasons rather than a single one
