So I’m a Spider, So What Season 2 is an upcoming season of the adventure isekai anime series. Based on the light novel series written by Okina Baba and illustrated by Tsukasa Kiryu, the series follows a class that is killed in a mysterious explosion and gets reincarnated into world of swords of magic.

All the students become nobles, royalty, and other kinds of influential but a girl becomes a dungeon spider without any power. However, she worked hard and gains a significant influence on the world by becoming one of the most powerful creatures.

The series follows a young high school girl named Shiraori who is reincarnated as a beautiful spider monster called Taratect in the world’s most dangerous dungeon. While others are enjoying their special powers, she is only having her human knowledge with her.

Season 1 was about the introduction of Kumoko in the lower ranked beasts but the second season will be focusing on her meeting with the Demon Lord. Things are going way differently than Kumoko thought they would.

Kumoko is casually travelling with the dungeon masters, vampire princess, and other big personalities. The hot girl whose identity was unknown is now getting popular after her meetings with demon lords.

After reaching the town of Renxandt Empire, Kumoko and her company will face some problems considering their identities. An ogre will cause trouble and the whole team have to bear the consequences. The spider will come out somehow as always but how?

The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll inside the United States, UK, Australia, and Canada while Japanese and Asian viewers can stream the anime television series on Ani-One Asia YouTube channel or Bilbilli.

Whenever a So I’m a Spider, So What season 2 comes out, it will also become available on Crunchyroll. Another light novel adaptation Vermeil in Gold is now streaming on HIDIVE.


No official trailer or teaser has been released by the Millepensee studio yet but is expected to arrive soon along with the release date announcement like Vinland Saga Season 2.

Will there be a season 2 of So I’m a Spider, What’s The Matter?

The original creators of the anime series haven’t yet confirmed either there will be So I’m a Spider, So What Season 2 or not. Since no release date is yet officially announced by the creators, it will be hard to jump on to any conclusion.

But considering the fans speculations, the series might be renewed for another season. Season 1 started premiering in January 2021 and the last episode premiered on 3 July 2021.

The season ran for 24 episodes with an average running time of 21 minutes and the anime was viewed over 200 million times on Bilbilli alone.

So I’m a Spider, So What Season 2 Release Date and Time

If the anime gets a renewal till August 2022 then we can can expect So I’m a Spider So What Season 2 to be released around June 2023. It will have a total of 24 episodes like the first season and will be available on Crunchyroll.

The story will be adapted from sixth light novel series as first 5 volumes were utilized in the first season. So, if you are looking to read the story right after the first season of anime ended then start reading the sixth volume.

Five volumes have been utilized in the first season out of 16 available volumes. The light novel was ended with the 16th volume while the manga is ongoing in 2022 with 11 volumes in total.
