Dan Harmon also revealed in an interview with Decider that the team has been working on three seasons simultaneously which makes sure that there will be no large gap between the release schedule of sixth, seventh, and eighth season. A recent tweet from Zig Zaddy Kane revealed that Season 7 writing wrapped up in August 2021 that sounds good.

What to expect from Rick and Morty season 6?
The 6th season of the series will be about the exploration of some new adventures of Rick and Morty. Some of the episodes will show revisiting of old scenes like Pickle 🥒 Rick, Boobworld visit, Birdperson has a daughter, and the separate adventures of Morty and Rick. What will Morty do without his grandpa and who will accompany Rick in his visit to other dimensions. This gonna be confusing and touchy while many fans are interested in seeing Evil Morty once again, some thinks that good Morty has no replacement.
However, Rick and Morty are now having separate lives independent of each other at the ending of season 5. One or two episodes will show the retaliation and increasing tension but eventually grandpa Rick and grandson Morty gonna be together at the end. Rick has showed several times that he is the only version who cared for his grandchildren.
