The action fantasy anime lovers are eagerly waiting for the announcement of Plunderer season 2 and the series is likely to be renewed for another season due to its huge fanbase and massive popularity that makes it worth watching.
Plunderer is an anime adaptation of the Japanese manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Suu Minazuki in Dec 2014.
The manga was adapted into an anime in 2020 and release the first season consisting of 24 episodes under the direction of Hiroyuki Kanbe and produced under Geek Toys Studio.
All episodes of first season are available to stream on Funimation and Netflix in some countries. Now, fans were craving for more and waiting for another season but will there be another season of Plunderer anime?
Plunderer Season 2 Release Date and Time
Plunderer Season 2 is neither renewed nor cancelled by Studio Geek Toys. No official announcements have been made either by the original anime studios or creators that would clear that the show is in production or not.
Fans were expecting that a new season will be released in Jan 2021 right after season 1 ended premiering in 2020 but the production was delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic and now, season 2 of Plunderer anime has just become a dream of fans.
We were expecting Plunderer season 2 to arrive by August 2023 but nothing has been confirmed as of now and the second season seems to be in our dreams only.
Three years have been already passed since the anime aired its first episode and since that time, no official announcement has been made by the studio.
Everything is a hoax until the original Studio Geek Toys or Netflix announce anything regarding to the future of Plunderer anime. It has been three years already and Netflix has given no clue that a second season is in progress.
The information leaked for Mushoku Tensei Season 3 was proven to be legit but there is no such news available for the new season of Plunderer. If something is leaked about the upcoming fantasy anime series, we will update you.
But we can only wait until it arrives or watch similar isekai anime series that are loved by everyone. Moreover, a new isekai anime is releasing every month.
Why is Plunderer Season 2 delayed?
Geek Toys Studio is currently having 10 employees only who were busy in finishing other anime projects. You can imagine how hard it will be for them to do all the stuff.
That way, we can expect Plunderer season 2 to happen only if some big studio like MAPPA, Madhouse, or A-1 Pictures will pickup the series for another season.

What to expect from Plunderer season 2?
The first episode of Plunderer anime season 2 will pickup the story right after season 1 ended where Licht and Hina teamed up to find all the seven ballots.
New season will take us to the adventures of the duo after teaming up and their perilous voyage to get all the seven ballots. This will not gonna be easy as lots of guards are coming their way.
On the flip side, cast-ridden issues will also be raised in the upcoming season that are quite normal in today’s society too where unnecessary reservations are made for higher class people. Moreover, the secret life of people living in Abyss might be seen.
About Plunderer Anime
The storyline is full of action that wouldn’t allow you to blink for a second. It sets in a post-apocalyptic world where all human survivors are having a special count on their body that determines their value.
Wondering, what happened with the persons with zero counts? Well, they are dragged into abyss and left for facing eternal death.
However, there are some special characters(like in Fate series watch order) such as Hina whose number of counts is measured by the kilometers she walked.
Hina is actually the main protagonist of the anime who is on a journey to meet her mother who was thrown into Abyss five years ago. She has been looking for the legendary ace which can give a clue to what happened with her mom.
In her journey, she encountered a messy knight Licht who has an astonishing count of 999 on his body.
