Dr Stone Season 4 has been confirmed at the end of season 3 finale episode that premiered on 15 June 2023.
The final episode ends on an emotional yet inspiring note where Senko realized that Byakuya has sacrificed his whole life to save the upcoming generations.
Even if he wasn’t sure that his collection of platinum would be able to reach in right hands, he still spent decades to collect the rarest elements hoping that his friend’s son will bring light on this planet someday. Senko is more than grateful for Byakuya’s sacrifice.
Byakuya deserves a separate coverage and Boichi has already done it. He has dedicated a separate manga volume to explain his powerful male character, how he picked Senko, how he dedicated his whole life to save humans as an astronaut and inherit his knowledge to his friend’s son Senko, who became an orphan after his parents demise.
The educational anime series has been adapted from the manga of the same name by Japanese author Riichiro Inagaki, illustrated by Boichi, and published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
It was serialized from 2017 to 2022 and all the chapters are collected in 25 manga volumes. The shonen manga was licensed by Viz for English publications in North America and as of now, the manga had over 15M copies in circulation, mostly in US.
Dr Stone Season 4 Release Date and Time
Dr Stone Season 4 is currently under production and is set to premiere in October 2023, according to the orginal anime director Shūhei Matsushita.
Some behind the scenes moments of the season 3 has been also released on Crunchyroll’s Youtube channel, straight from the TMS Entertaniment Studio.

No episode count has been confirmed but it is speculated to have 11-13 episodes with an average running time of 23 minutes. All the episodes will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll inside the United States.
First season of the sci-fi anime TV series was released in 2019, second in 2021, a special on 10 July 2022, and finally, a third season started airing in 2023. Call it as Dr Stone Season 4 or Dr Stone Season 3 Part 2, both are right.
Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 11 finale recap
Episode 11 of Dr Stone Season 3 starts with Kohaku confirming that the capsule is buried under the largest tree of citadel and is sealed with protective concrete shell that will create noise and alert guards if she try to hammer it.
Senku Ishigami already deduced that Byakuya has preserved the capsule with concrete. So, he decides to send a silent bomb to Kohaku that will crack the concrete from inside without making a noise.
Kohaku accidentally breaks the bottle but sends all the collected golden sand to Senku on the toy cars. Senku discovers a piece of platinum in between that golden dust and while he was talking about its rarity to other team members, he discovers a complete test tube worth of platinum.
Byakuya must have spent decades and devoted his life to collect that platinum for him so that he could save other humans in the future. Some flashbacks are also shown where Byakuya is seen collecting the dust daily despite of his extreme old age, he collected the platinum until his death.
After he died, his children and grandchildren collected seal the bottle in the Soyuz as per his wishes that is successfully reached to Senku today. Ibaya discovers the Soyuz and alerted his guards that there is an intruder among us who has infiltrated the citadel.

Dr Stone Season 4 Official Trailer
An official trailer for Dr Stone Season 4 hasn’t released yet but the anime creators have made a short promotional video to recollect some memories from the season 3.
The 3:30 minutes video starts with the flashback scenes from season 3 episode and goes till the end with Byakuya’s demise and Senko saying that it’s time to revive the members of Science Kingdom who will help in producing reviving more humans and establishing the new world of science.
What to expect from Dr Stone Season 4?
The finale ended with Senku preparing the nitric acid to produce more revival fluid and it seems that, he has finally prepared the revival fluid and now it’s the right time to revive whole humanity, starting from the members of the Kingdom of Science.
In the first episode of the upcoming season, we will be able to meet all the staff members of The Kingdom of Science and listen to their stories of getting stoned. The next episode is also titled “The Kingdom of Science Strikes Back” so things are goint to get bumpy.
The greatest scientists ever produced by humanity will be revived after staying frozen for 3,700 years. This is the time for humanity to rise and shine. Dream of Senku to make the new world will be fulfilelld and Byakuya must feel proud on his adopted son.
