Boruto ep 223 opens with Boruto sitting with Mitsuki discussing about the final test to become a chunin. Himawari interrupts the two to discuss an important matter with her big brother. She saw Yuina and the other girl chasing Eho so Boruto decided to investigate the case before his exam starts.
On the other hand, Lord Seventh was insisting Kawaki to come and watch the Chunin exam, Naruto also supports the Lord’s statement by talking about cheering for Boruto and other kids. Kawaki admits that he is really not interested in watching the stuff but when Naruto starts talking about Ninjutsu and Shinobi in action, Kawaki changes his decision and decides to watch the match.
Finally, the first round begins with Inojin vs Houki and Inojin seems to be in danger as Houki is having the upper hand. Boruto was investigating her sister’s case and asked Eho if he is pretending to be ninja so Eho explained. The party realized that the mysterious guy is Amado whom is taken away by Eho and Yuina.

Boruto episode 224 will show who will won the first round between Inojin and Houki. Houki will use his special technique against Inojin but the defender managed to hide using his Super Beast Scroll. However, he will win and the first round concluded with the victory of Houki.
