Blue Lock Anime Release Date, Official Trailer, What will happen in the anime?

Blue Lock anime adaptation is finally official and will release in 2022. The announcement states that Eight Bit animation studio is animating the series under the direction of Tetsuaki Watanabe along with the voice cast actors. The story is based on a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura which is about an egoistic coach Jinpachi who is hired by the Japanese Football Association in order to won the world cup.

He makes a prison like facility named Blue Lock where three hundred super strikers from different high schools are thrown. The strikers have to push their limits if they want to survive and the winner will become the national team’s striker, those who failed will be banned from joining the teams forever.

When does blue lock come out?

The anime adaptation of the football manga series Blue Lock has been officially announced by Eight Bit Studio and is scheduled to start premiering from October 2022. A small trailer and visual has been also released by the creators where Yoichi is shown with other high school football players showing his soccer skills. The anime is directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe written by Taku Kishimoto while the character designing is done by Masaru Shindo.

However, the reddit trailer doesn’t mean we are gonna get an anime version. MAPPA recently stated they have a new big project being announced, as well as Blue Lock saying a huge reveal.

Why Blue Lock anime adaptation is taking time?

You will not be surprised by the fact that various workers are leaving MAPPA studios due to adverse working conditions. Even Jujutsu Kaisen director has left the studio recently. The lack of animators is creating ruckus inside the studio and that’s why most of the series like Blue Lock is taking more time than expected.

Where can I watch Blue Lock?

The anime adaptation of Blue Lock will be streaming on Crunchyroll and VRV inside the United States. English dubbed versions will become available once the series start premiering in original Japanese audio and English subtitles.

An official trailer of 1 minute and 18 seconds has been released by the creators of the blue lock anime. It shows that the anime project has been took over by Eight Bit animation, the same production that has animated That Time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime. You will be amazed to see the same characters in the anime as in manga chapters.

Blue Lock anime voice cast and plot

A 47 seconds PV has been released for Blue Lock recently on the official twitter handle that is featuring Bachira Meguru in action along with another promotional video showing Yoichi under pressure.

What to expect from Blue Lock?

The story of this anime starts with Japanese soccer team where Football association of the country decides to bring hire a powerful and determined coach who can made Japanese team strong enough to bring the world cup.

Jinpachi, the coach is a very egoistic person and say to association that their strikers are not excited for their goals. So, he made a prison like facility whom he called as Blue Lock to eliminate the weak players from the team.

What will happen in Blue Lock Anime adaptation

He nominates 300 super strikers from all over Japan and kept them under Blue Lock, only one player will remain at the end. The remaining player will won his/her pass to play for the national team of Japan. Out of those three hundred players, Yoichi also receives the invite for joining the Blue Lock. He is a good football player but after reaching the event, he realized that other players are sturdy too.

How will he able to tackle with them? Will he able to won the event in the Blue Lock anime now or he rediscover himself as Fushi in To Your Eternity season 2 or Haikyuu Seson 5.
