The story follows a former intelligence officer who launches a rescue operation to locate his missing son that get lost in the mountains of Central Romania. He also get to know that his girlfriend and former wife are vanished at the same mountains in recent winters. Then, he decides to investigate the scene by himself. The Father Who Moves Mountains was shot in the location of Bucegi Mountains, Romania for three winters. A section of Southern Carpathian Mountains has also featured in the shooting location by the cast members. On the eastern side, Busteni and Sinaia are located in the Prahova valley where tourists can enjoy holidays.
