Slumberland is an American fantasy feature film directed by Francis Lawrence from the screenplay of David Guion & Michael Handelman. The series is based on a fictional character named Little Nemo created by another American cartoonist Winsor McCay for his comic strip Dream of the Rarebit Fiend.
Even though, the movie has a good storyline, cast of the movie makes the movie much more interesting. Jason Momoa in the lead role of the eccentric con-artist who becomes the companion of Nemo, a young girl who is on a journey to reunite with her father.
Slumberland Filming Locations
Netflix’s Slumberland was filmed in and around Toronto during early 2021. Daily Hive reported that the principal filming of the movie began in the capital city of Ontario on 18 Feb 2021 and concluded on 19 May 2021 within the same Canadian province.
Another source reported that the filming was supposed to happen on 9 Nov 2020 but it was postponed as a result of Covid-19 pandemic. The movie is based upon a comic book series with the title Nemo in Slumberland written by Winsor McCay.

Greater Toronto Area, Ontario
The greater Toronto region consists of 25 urban, suburban, and rural municipalities including the city of Toronto. It begins with Burlington and extends till Lake Ontario past downtown Toronto.
A production camp was setup at 955 Lake Shore Boulevard West and Pinewood Toronto Studios at 225 commissioners street where most of the CGI animated and interior scenes were filmed.
Pinewood Toronto Studios is the largest studio of its kind in Canada that provides 11 soundproofed stages, luxurious meeting rooms, workshops, meeting rooms, and wardrobes.
Other than that, Woodbine Park, Toronto Music Garden, and Fairmont Royal York was utilized for the filming purposes. Wellington Street, Yorkville, Toronto Waterfront, and Nicholson Lane was also utilized for the shooting purposes.
Oakville, Ontario
Marlow Barkley shared on her Instagram while the filming was taking place around Centennial Pool at 120 Navy Street in the town of Oakville. The place is known as the shooting location of Luckiest Girl Alive, Reacher, Tickets to Paradise, Glass Onion, Inventing the Christmas Prince, Black Adam, etc.
