Lifetime’s Pom Poms and Payback was filmed in Los Angeles and Indian Springs part of California under strict Covid-19 guidelines. Filming began in September 2020 and wrapped up on 1 October 2020. Some scenes were shot at the Bishop Mora Salesian High School, Northridge(inside San Fernando valley). LA is one of the most prominent filming location for 2021 Lifetime movies as The Wrong Cheer Captain.

Pom Poms and Payback Plot
Sharlene, Jessie, and Annabelle are cheerleaders of Pom Poms Squad. They tell their feelings to their boyfriends and their plans to spend the life after college. Jesse dates a nerd guy named Roger, Annabelle dates a boy who breaks up with her. Shar wants to travel New York with her boyfriend Jason but he cheats on Sharlene. However, the boyfriend of Jessie hacks into the system and changes her grades silently.
The cheerleader coach Evergreen seduced Howard to ruin the lives of cheerleading girls group and asked girls to take revenge from their men. Then, girls planned to avenge their insult that their boyfriends suddenly dumped them. The revenge plan executed and it is revealed that Evergreen is behind the whole treachery. Finally, the mom appeared as the new coach while cheering for her daughter.
