What If episode 6 promo shows that it will be about an alternate universe where Erick Killmonger saved Tony Stark from Ten Rings. For those who are watching for the first time, What If…? is an action-adventure sci-fi animated anthology TV series created by A.C. Bradley and Marvel Studios production company.

The story is based on the Marvel comic series of the same name that explores alternative timelines in the Marvel cinematic universe. This is the first animated series of the MCU and fans are very excited to see the alternative endings to their heroes. Jeffrey Wright is playing the role of The Watcher who is narrating the whole story after the creation of multiverse in Loki.

Bruce Banner returned to Earth and finds himself in the middle of zombie armies, Spiderman saves him at the right time. He meets with the remaining group of survivors and surprised to listen that most of the Avengers got infected.

Hope gets infected in the war against zombies and sacrificed herself so that her team gets an antidote to save the world. Then, Sharon and Happy meet Vision who has cured Scott Lang but only his head is remaining. Vision was also researching on a zombie named Wanda and holding T’Challa captive, Bucky saves T’Challa but released Wanda in the process. Hulk fights with Wanda and other cannibals and Vision passes the Mind Stone to Spiderman. Now, the spidey team escape to manufacture antidote but Zombie Thanos is waiting for them at the same place with all the powerful stones except for the Mind one.

What If Episode 6 will be based on Tony Stark’s rescue by Erick Killmonger. Erick saved Iron Man from the advanced artilleries and high tech weapons and eventually both of them become great friends. However, Tony was destined to build an arc reactor as his first armor suit from the garbage but after Erick saved his life, he doesn’t get a chance to become Iron Man.

Whatever happens, Tony Stark will always remains a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist businessman. Killmonger will probably become the King of Wakanda with the help of Stark industries and give Tony access to Wakandian technology. With that superb technology, Stark will invent something much bigger than his first Iron Man suit.
