Episode 5 Recap
The episode 5 starts with Mary meeting a Roman who distracts her in memorizing the holy scriptures. On the other hand, Jesse is being interrogated by Yanni and Shmuel. After questioning, Yanni gives the information to Sanhedrin and this sparks his interest in the healing man.
Simon Z is also looking for the Jesus simultaneously but he met a demon-possessed man named Caleb who can take over his wisdom. However, John the Baptizer meets Jesus on his way and explained how they are prepared for the road ahead and suddenly Caleb arrives at their camp and start attacking on their camps. Jesus casts a demon out of him.
Simon comes in the middle to save Jesus and his disciples from the evil man and pledge himself to Jesus along with John the Baptizer. Then, John leaves the group for a mission in Jerusalem and Mary seems to visit a pub. This episode ends as Jesus sends Matthew and Simon in search of Mary.
The Chosen season 2 episode 6 Spoilers
In the Chosen season 2 episode 6, Matthew and Simon may run into some trouble while looking for Mary as Magdalene’s soul is taken by evil and Jesus have to make her soul free from the demonic spirit. Moreover, John the Baptizer is on his dangerous mission to stop Herod from marrying his own niece Herodias, as it is considered as a sin. But her niece is very cruel and she can do anything to get her uncle’s throne.
Although, the king Herodias is an extremely cruel man himself, according to Science mag research, he orchestrated Massacre of the Innocents where he called for the death of all male infants in Bethlehem in order to claim the live of baby Jesus. Her niece, Herodias was also like her uncle but she loved the throne more than anything else and she can go to any extent to rule the country with her uncle in The Chosen season 2 episode 6.
John The Baptist is rebelling against the marriage as that is one of the biggest sin of that time and if he reached to Jerusalem and continue his protest then evil Herodias will become very angry and she will even request the king to bring the head of John The Baptizer. It will be interesting to see how other people of Jerusalem will react on the whole situation as a man is fighting for the right and others are not uttering a word under the fear of death. God will show the power of truth and also take the revenge of the death of his lovely messenger.
