SK8 The Infinity season 2 is officially confirmed and fans are completely thrilled with the positive news regarding the renewal of their favorite yoai anime by Border Animation Studio and Studio Bones.

The original adventure sports anime TV series has been produced and animated by Bones Studio whose story is written by Ichiro Okouchi and directed by Hiroko Utsumi. It follows a high school sophomore and hardcore skater, Reki who takes new transfer student Langato to a hardcore skaters group of Okinawa.

SK8 The Infinity Season 2 Release Date and Time

A new project for SK8 The Infinity anime was confirmed on 4 July 2021, the official announcement was made on the official website of the anime which stated that the Studio Bones and No Border Animation Studio are working on a new project. It wasn’t clear that this new project will be a second season or a new movie, a teaser was also revealed by the animators featuring all the characters to anticipate the series.

Season 1 started premiering in Jan 2021 that ran for a total of 12 episodes concluding in April 2021. The manga spinoff is still going and SK8 Season 2 is expected to release around early 2024 with new 12 episodes with an average runtime of 23 minutes. All the episodes will be available on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

What to expect from SK8 The Infinity Season 2?

The first season ended with the huge win of Langa in the tournament after defeating Adams. Even though, he won the match, he didn’t forget to lecture his competitor Adams about the purpose of skating. Moreover, he celebrated the victory with his friends. On the other hand, Shadow was stunned to see his favorite florist cheating on him. The episode ends as Tadashi asked Adams to behave like his dog.

Season 2 is having a lot of plot to cover starting from Langa’s career after winning the tournament. Now, he will try to participate in a bigger S Downhill Skating competition to test his rankings. This will not gonna be easy as toughest players are going to participate in the tournament. However, he will get a chance to meet another players and understand their way of living. Also, Shadow will find someone else to date as his favorite florist has started dating someone else.
