Riverdale Season 7 is an upcoming season of the Riverdale franchise that follows a group of teenagers. The teen mystery drama TV series is adapted from Archie Comics, developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and is produced by JB Moranville under Berlanti Productions, Archie Comics, CBS Studios, and Warner Bros Television Studios.
It stars KJ Apa, Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch, Lil Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, and Like Perry in the main roles along with the other cast members. The story begins after a teenager is murdered within the town of Riverdale and a group of teenagers trying to expose the evil face of murderer like in Euphoria season 3.
Will there be a season 7 of Riverdale?
Yes, a seventh season of Riverdale has been confirmed by The CW in March 2022 and sadly, it will be the finale season of the series. No season 8 will be released after that.

Riverdale Season 7 is expected to release around October 2023 on Netflix like the previous six seasons. There will be a total of 22 episodes with an average runtime of 45 minutes.
The first season of the series begin airing in January 2017 and a subsequent second season was also released in October 2017. A third season was released in October 2018, fourth in October 2019, season 5 in January 2021, and a sixth season in November 2021.
Following the similar pattern, seventh season of Riverdale is also expected to release around October or November 2023 just like the previous seasons. Similarly, it will have 22 episodes in total but they might be longer this time.
Filming for the 7th season has been already wrapped up in summer 2022 and all the new episodes of the Riverdale season 7 are in post production in September 2022.

What will be the plot for Riverdale Season 7?
Season 6 ended on an interesting point with many characters losing all their memories of becoming immortal sorcerers. The time shift has amused all the Riverdale fans and has thrown the sorcerers into the 1950s when they were in high school.
After fighting Percival, Riverdale saviors were feeling kind of relieved until the arrival of Bailey’s comet which was heading straight to The Riverdale. The heroes squad combined their powers to make a powerful Cheryl who can eliminate the comet with a single blow. Well, it’s easier said than done.
That scene proved to be sensible for a time skip. Maybe the comet was holding some cosmic energy within itself making everything young what coming in its way. That’s why our heroes are thrown into 1950s when they don’t even knew the S of a sorcerer.
Riverdale Season 7 will begin with their high school life. The best part is that the institution belongs to 1955 and we get to see the 50s outfits. Jughead Jones(played by Cole Sprouse) was so delighted to heard the news that he didn’t have to wear the beanie again.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Roberto has revealed that the upcoming season will be freestyle because none of the characters are in relationship now. It will be interesting to see all the characters living a single life without any long term commitments.
