Retribution, one of the most hyped thriller film of 2023 has got an official release date and is scheduled to come out on 25 Aug 2023 inside US cinemas.
The movie stars Liam Neeson in the main role of Matt Turner, a financier who gets a mysterious phone call about his family getting kidnapped and bombs in his car that won’t exlode until he follow their instructions.

About Retribution
Directed by Nimrod Antal from the scripts of Chris Salmanpour, Retribution movie is coming as the remake of the 2015 Spanish film made by Alberto Marini, that follows a similar storyline about a banker and his two kids.
It was announced in 2017 that a remake of Spanish thriller El desconocido will be made and Studiocanal was backing the production. Most of the shooting of the movie took place within the Babelsberg Studios in Potsdam while some scenes were done in the streets of Berlin, the filming was completed in July 2021.
The film is a co-production between American, French, and Spanish by Studiocanal and Motion Pictures. Andrew Rona, Jaume Colley Serra, Alex Heineman, and Juan Sola are the producers of the film and the movie has been produced under The Picture Company, Ombra Films, Studio Babelsberg, Vaca Films, and TF1 Films Production.

What is the movie Retribution about?
The movie follows Matt Turner, a normal banker who goes out to drop his children at school while wife staying at home. Everything goes perfect until he receives a threatening call from an unknown number. The caller claims that they have installed bombs in his car.
In return of sparing his life, the callers demand a huge sum of money and fulfill some of their orders. It’s happening with Matt because of his shady business practices to crook customers.
Later on, it is revealed that Matt is not the only one who is experiencing the terror of anonymous. One of his co-worker is also going through the same treatment but he chose to live freely without the fear and that results into the explosion of his car.
Now, Matt has to prevent the same thing to happen in order to save his children while staying away from the eyes of cops. The shocking thing is, the unknown caller is actually a well-known person of Turner but he’s unable to recognize him over the curtains of fear. Will Matt Turner able to survive till the end?
