Kakegurui Season 3 is much awaited among thrilling anime lovers but there seems to be no traces of another season. The psychological thriller anime series is animated by MAPPA and is based on the manga of the same name written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura published under Yen Press. It follows a compulsive gambler of Japan who seems to be innocent but performs various cheating methods to win against most powerful students of school.
Will there be a season 3 of Kakegurui?
Season 1 premiered in 2017 with 12 episodes and a season 2 premiered in 2019 with another 12 episodes but no official announcements has been made regarding the release of Kakegurui Season 3 till now. If the renewal announced in 2022 then we can expect it to be release around early 2023.
A movie was also released in the same year of releasing season 2 of the anime and a sequel was set to release in 2021. The sequel got delayed due to Covid-19 pandemic and now the release date is shifted to 2022. A video game was also released in Nov 2018 but the access was revoked because of the servers closed down in March 2020.

About Kakegurui
The story sets in Hyakkaou Private Academy where high class elite housing children of most wealthiest persons are studying, the parents of children includes various future leaders, professionals, among the human body. Instead of determining student’s ability their academic performance, the study level is decided by their ranks of gambling. The players who won the game gains the popularity and prestige connections. However, there lies some dark secrets behind the game, as who loses the game falls into debt and become the slave of the winner.
In season 2, a sexy high school girl Yumeko is introduced who is a compulsive gambler doing gambling for fun without caring for any consequences. When she come to school, she exposes every gambling scam that the school has been practicing disrupting the hierarchy of the school especially its president. Kakegurui Season 3 will follow another experience of Rei and other new characters that will be introduced in the high school. Moreover, the gambling will take another turn when a champion from another school come to challenge Yumeko. Will Yumeko won against the challenger or this is her time when she become a slave?
