Classroom of the Elite Season 2 has been officially announced by the creators on 21 Feb 2022. The psychological thriller isekai series is based on the light novel series of the same name written by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. An adaptation was first announced in July 2017 that premiered till Sep 2017.
Seiji Kishi and Hiroyuki Hashimoto were assigned as the director, script was written by Aoi Akashiro whereas the Shunsaku’s illustrated characters were designed by Kazuaki Morita. The whole production team will return to reprise their roles in the season 2 including Lerche animation Studio that has also animated the first season.
Will there be Classroom of the Elite Season 2?
Yes, Classroom of the Elite season 2 is confirmed along with a season 3. The anime creators confirmed the news on their official website with a key visual that reads, ‘A sequel season for Classroom of the Elite in under production’.
A special program streamed on Kadokawa anime YouTube channel on 6 March at 8:00 PM JST inside Japan and at 6:00 AM ET inside the United States. Studio Lerche revealed in the program that a second season will begin airing in July 2022 with a third season in production.
Classroom of the Elite Season 2 Release Date Countdown
Classroom of the Elite season 2 is scheduled to release in July 2022 aligning with the first season date. Moreover, Classroom of the Elite season 3 is also announced for 2023. The new season episodes count is not confirmed but we can expect the season 2 to have 12 episodes like the previous season.
Has the manga material finished?
In terms of material, the anime is not yet finished as the first season covered only 3 volumes of manga series in a total of 11 volumes. So, there is enough material to make even three more seasons and turn the plot and promote rank of Kiyotaka. The light novel series has sold over six million copies and still counting. There are a total of 14 light novel volumes but the manga is still ongoing with 11 volumes.

All episodes of Classroom of the Elite are streaming on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Amazon Prime Video. The anime series is licensed under Crunchyroll inside North American regions while Funimation owned the streaming rights of English dub versions. Most fans prefer dubbed versions over a subbed, so the show is streaming in both options.
