The Expanse Season 7 premiere date is not yet revealed by Amazon since the release of last season 6 in November 2020. It seems that the original network has cancelled the series but is there any possibility that a season 7 will happen in the future? Let’s find out today.
Created by Mark Fergus & Hawk Ostby(known for Iron Man and Children of Men), the science fiction drama series is based on the sci-fi novels on the same name by James S.A. Corey(Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck).
The story sets in the future of humanity where humans have colonized the solar system and follows a group of humans who are on a mission to destabilize the tensions between Earth, Mars, and the asteroid belt otherwise it will lead to a spaceship war.
Will there be a season 7 of The Expanse?
Unfortunately, there will be no seventh season of The Expanse because season 6 was announced as the finale season of the series by Amazon Studios. The show was officially cancelled in November 2020 by the original network.
Some people are playing with the feelings of fans without revealing the actual details but we have spoken the truth with courage. No season 7 is in progress.
The Expanse Season 7 Release Date
No official announcements has been heard from the creators since 2020 regarding the renewal of the series but fans are still expecting another season as some book material is still left to adapt.
Six seasons have covered 6 parts of James SA Corey book series leaving behind 3 books which might be adapted in the new season. That’s why fans are hopeful about a new season but the reality lies close to sadness. There won’t be a season 7 for the Expanse.
Why was the expanse cancelled?
The real reason behind the show’s cancellation was the super high budget of production.
A single episode of The Expanse costs approximately $2 to $5 Million and if there will be two more seasons then they will be way more expensive. Ending the expanse sucks but this is how industry works.
Also, The Expanse concluded with a happy ending so there are no rooms for a sequel season that can continue the ongoing story. Moreover, on 24 Nov 2020 the 6th season of the sci-fi show was announced as the last season of the series.

How many seasons of The Expanse are available on Netflix?
Zero. Undoubtedly, Netflix has the biggest content library of original TV shows and movies but this epic fictional war series is not currently included in its library. Instead, you can watch Umbrella Academy season 3, Raising Dion, Lost in Space, Space Force, Tribes of Europa, Sweet Tooth, etc.

What to expect from The Expanse Season 7?
Even though, it has been officially confirmed that The Expanse series has been cancelled, fans are still not convinced and patiently waiting for another season. So, this will be the plot.
The Expanse season 7(if happen) will follow the story after the three decades of Free Navy Conflict. Bobbie and Holden are assigned to instruct citizens of Freehold about their repeated violations of Union guidelines. Moreover, they would be removed from the trade with the Gate Network if they continue that in the future.
Instead of becoming the bad news informer, Holden will say something beneficial for the Freehold people and will promise to not cut off them from the trade. Holden and Naomi will probably discuss about their retirement from the Rocinate to settle on some moon peacefully.
