Where to watch Street Fighter (2026): Theaters, Streaming and Digital Release

Ryu and Ken are back, and the big question is when you can watch Street Fighter (2026) at home.

The new video game adaptation has arrived in theaters, but if you’re waiting to stream it on your couch, you’ll have to be patient a little longer. Paramount hasn’t announced a digital release date or confirmed when the movie will land on Paramount+.

So, where can you watch Street Fighter right now? Here’s what we know about its theatrical release, the expected digital rental window, its likely streaming date, and where to catch the older movies while you wait.

Where can you watch Street Fighter?

Right now, only in theaters. Street Fighter opened in the US on October 16, 2026. Paramount has not announced a digital or streaming date. As a Paramount Pictures release, it is expected to stream on Paramount+, not Netflix or Prime Video.

Watch Street Fighter in Theaters

The big screen is the only option today, and it’s the one the film was made for. Paramount opened Street Fighter across the US on Friday, October 16, 2026. A premiere was held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles four days earlier.

Premium formats: The film is playing in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, ScreenX and other premium large formats. Choose IMAX if you can. About 67 minutes of the film open up to the taller IMAX aspect ratio.

When can you Rent or Buy Street Fighter digitally?

Most likely in mid-to-late November 2026. Paramount has not set a date. But its films usually reach digital stores 30 to 45 days after cinemas.

That window points to roughly November 17 to December 1, 2026. Forecasts vary across outlets. Some put it as early as November 17, others around December 1.

Where it should appear: Apple TV (iTunes), Prime Video, Fandango at Home (Vudu) and Google Play. Storefront listing pages for Apple, Prime Video and Vudu already exist, but there’s no on-sale date yet.

Good to know: Renting or buying costs extra, even if you already pay for Paramount+. Early digital releases (PVOD) typically cost around $19.99 to rent and $24.99 to buy in the US.

A strong box office run could push the digital date later. A softer run, like Street Fighter’s below-forecast opening, could mean an earlier one.

When will Street Fighter Stream on Paramount+?

The best estimate is mid-January 2027. Paramount+ is the expected streaming home because Paramount Pictures distributes the film. No date has been announced.

Recent Paramount films such as Scream 7, Jackass: Best and Last and Scary Movie took roughly 12 to 13 weeks to reach Paramount+. A 90-day window would land Street Fighter there around January 14, 2027. At least one outlet predicts a pre-Christmas drop on December 18, 2026, so a December surprise isn’t ruled out.

Plan (US)Monthly Price

Is Street Fighter on Netflix, Prime Video or HBO Max?

No. It is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video, and isn’t expected to land there soon. Prime Video and Apple TV should only offer it as a paid rental or purchase. Some coverage notes the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger could affect where Paramount films stream in future. For now, Paramount+ remains the expected home.

Outside the US

Streaming rights can differ by country. Paramount has not confirmed which service will carry the film in the UK, India or other markets. Check your local Paramount+ or partner service once dates are announced.

Street Fighter on Blu-ray, 4K and DVD

Expect discs in early 2027. Paramount has not announced a disc release or its bonus features. Blu-ray.com already has a DVD listing page, but with no date or specs.

Collectors may want to wait for 4K. The film was shot for IMAX, and about 67 minutes use the expanded aspect ratio. Whether a home release keeps that framing hasn’t been confirmed.

Is Street Fighter worth-watching in Theaters?

If you love the games, probably yes. Critics are lukewarm, but audiences are having fun.

MeasureScore
Rotten Tomatoes (critics)About 41–42%
Rotten Tomatoes (audience)79%
CinemaScoreB-
Global opening weekend$51.1 million (No. 1 worldwide)

Fans praise: the fight choreography, the 2D animated flashbacks, the soundtrack, and Noah Centineo and Andrew Koji as Ken and Ryu.

Critics knock: the script, the juvenile humour, and limited screen time for some fighters.

It’s already the best-reviewed Street Fighter movie with critics. The 1994 film scored 20% and The Legend of Chun-Li scored 3%. The big fights and IMAX framing are the strongest case for seeing it on the big screen rather than waiting.
