Survival drama fans are eagerly waiting for the Squid Game Season 2 release date, the people who have watched the series become addicted to it. The series has become one of the most watched series on Netflix within a month of release and sparking interest of all thriller fans. Squid Game has been written, directed and created by Hwang Dong-hyuk that follows a real life gaming event whose prize pool worth 40 Million USD. A total of 456 players participate in the game among which there can only be one winner, rest of the person has to kill each other in order to survive in the game. Squid Game Season 2: Renewed or Cancelled?
Squid Game Season 2 is not yet officially confirmed by the original streaming network but there are high chances that it will happen in the near future according to the creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk. He told CNN in a recent chat that it wasn’t easy to write, produce, and direct the whole series alone and he is looking forward to release another season.
If Squid Game has been renewed for another season till the end of 2021 then we can expect it to be released around March 2023. However, Hwang is kind of worried but this doesn’t confirmed that there is no possibility for a possible sequel, it maybe definitely take sometime and come back with another blast.
Who will Cast?
Various new cast members will be introduced in the upcoming part of the series as most of the players were eliminated in the first part remaining only Lee Jung-jae out of 456 people. He will come to reprise his role as Seong Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun as Hwang In-ho, Wi Ha-joon as Hwang Jun-ho because his death is not confirmed in the first installment. His character will be elaborated in Squid Game Season 2, he will possibly bust some of the evil gang members who are killing people for fun.
Gong Yoo will be seen as salesman who is recruiting the game players to begin the game. He is the one who invites people to play Squid Game and give them a chance to win a huge amount of money. Since many characters have already met their fate in season 1, new players will be introduced in the series if series follow the same storyline.
What will happen in Squid Game Season 2?
Squid Game Season 2 will picked up the story right after Seong Gi-hun’s supremacy over the game. As an experienced gamer, he will try to expose the mass murder and heinous crimes done by the recruiters. Seong is aware that the deadly game is organized by a group of investors just like the old man with a brain tumor so he will try to reveal the identity of those horrible people who enjoy to see the live murders in game.
The winner will try to convince each person who is willing to play the game on the sake of winning handsome amount of money but those people drunk on money will totally ignore him. Alternatively, how Seong will utilize the prize money will be also shown in the upcoming season of the series.
