In Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation episode 16, Rudeus and his party reached to the capital city of Millis where Geese part his ways with the group. Eris insist Geese to teach her cooking whenever he meets again but doesn’t mention why she wanted to learn that cooking so badly. The group decides to take a break and enjoy their first day in Millishion. In the middle of writing a letter to Paul, Rudy spots a group of kidnappers that are possibly taking someone as hostage.

On reaching their place, Rudeus confronts the kidnappers and defeat all of them one after another before a drunkard appears to fight, that person is no other than Rudeus’s father, Paul who is glad to see his son alive after he survived the teleportation disaster. However, Paul asks from Rudueus why he never tried to write a letter home and contacting to other villagers but the question left unanswered.

Then, both of them start fighting again but this time, Norn(younger sister of Rudy) intervene and stops the dog fight. On seeing Paul’s team combating, her past memories triggered and she gets stunned. While the party is involved, Rudeus flees from the place and Eris cheers him up on reaching his place.

Nowhere to go, nowhere to stay, and nothing to eat. It was very harsh time and no one by his side when he was holding Norn in his arms.

Watching the villagers dying in front of his eyes was very painful and Paul regret about that. The person is so depressed that he wasn’t able to save as many lives as he can because he has no team to support, he was alone with little Norn who keeps on asking to his dad, where is her mother. But Paul has to answer.
