The Luke Grimes-led Yellowstone spinoff closed its first season with a dramatic assassination attempt on Thomas Rainwater, a critical militia reveal, and unexpected love interests that fundamentally alter the show’s trajectory going forward.
The biggest gut-punch involves Cal and Belle.
One shocking cliffhanger involves Belle Skinner and team leader Pete “Cal” Calvin, who team up to check out a trailer home in their ongoing investigation. Marshals Season 2 Release Date
Marshals Season 1 had a midseason debut in March 2026, but the success of the series has prompted CBS to move it up to a full fall premiere. Season 2 is expected in September or October 2026, and Marshals will keep its Sunday 8/7c timeslot when it returns.

What season 2 is actually about?
Logan Marshall-Green has already hinted at what viewers should expect when the show comes back.

Mo brings plenty finally gets his moment
One of the most talked-about aspects of the Season 1 finale was something that had nothing to do with Kayce.
