Loki season 2 has been renewed by Disney, this is a superhero series of Marvel Cinematic Universe and an alternate ending to Avengers endgame when Loki stole the Tesseract and brought to the secret bureaucratic organization, Time Variance Authority(TVA) which monitors the timeline and lives outside the time and space.
That organization offers Loki to delete himself forever or help the organization to fix the timeline and save the world but Loki trapped in his own thriller and changing human history with his works. He met with different type of humans known as time keepers and his variants. At the end of first season, he and Sylvie met with the variant of TVA founder named Kang and Sylvie killed him but this leads to the formation of millions of branches in the sacred timeline. Will there be a season 2 of LOKI?
Yeah, Disney plus has officially announced the renewal of Loki for a second season and that information was mentioned in the only in the post credits scenes of season 1 finale episode. It will be having 6 episodes with an average length of 45 minutes.
Loki season 2 is happening for sure but a release date is yet to be announced. Season 1 premiered it’s first episode on 9 June 2021 and aired till 14 July 2021 on Disney+. According to a report by Production Weekly, the filming for the subsequent season will begun on January 2022 and if that happens then Loki season 2 will be released in November 2022.
LOKI Season 2 Cast
Disney has not announced any information regarding the cast members for the upcoming season. However, it is safe to assume that Sylvie, Loki, Ravonna, Moebius, Kang The Conqueror, Miss Minutes, and B-15 will return for their roles. Other than that, we get to see some new characters like the variants of He Who Remains, LOKI, and others.
What will happen in the LOKI Season 2?
LOKI season 2 will continue the story after Sylvie killed the variant of He Who Remains and Ravonna left the TVA office to complete the special task given to her by the father of Time Variance Authority. On the other hand, Loki finds himself in an alternate TVA where Kang The Conqueror is the god for TVA workers. He will talk to his variant friend but Moebius couldn’t recognize him and call him as an analyst.
Loki was trying to save the timeline by saving the life of He Who Remains but Sylvie was so desperate to cut off his cord without being aware of the future consequences. While Loki was trying to save the time keeper and tell Sylvie that he wants only her happiness, Sylvie kissed her but in the next moment pushed him to TVA headquarters by using TemPed and takedown He Who Remains. With her action, the sacred timeline gets independent and thousands of branches start to form from the main timeline.
What Sylvie has done is far from foolishness, now all the universe has to pay the price for her stupid actions. She just crying in a corner but now TVA is the one who is doing the real work to save the multiverse. TVA has the god of mischief with him and his intelligence level far from geniuses. He will definitely make something out to restore the sacred timeline and met Sylvie. ‘On the other hand, Kang The Conqueror will be seen laughing devilishly as his more powerful variants are on the way, He Who Remains is eternal as time and no MCU character has the guts to defat him.
