In Legacies S4 Ep 2, Hope explains her plan to save Landon but Alaric interrupts her and advise to focus on Fundraiser. Onto which Hope reminds Ryan that he owes a favor to her before taking him to the mental health facility. Ryan is impatiently waiting for the time when Malivore will take over his body but he surprised everyone by agreeing with Hope favor.
On the other hand, Landon calls Cleo who was disappointed with Malivore’s final plan to kill Hope. As the villain can take control over negative emotions of Landon, Cleo changes the topic of conversation regarding the safety of Hope. Ryan was finally ready to exchange bodies with Malivore but the transformation gone wrong and turned Ryan into a beast. Alaric tries to protect Hope by attacking the monster but Hope comes between his way and casts a spell to stop the monster.
Eventually, magic spells work and convert the monster into a Ryan again which is then admitted to the hospital. Hope provides enough money to him according to the plan so that he can leave the town and settle somewhere else. In the ending scene, Alaric tells the truth to Hope about Landon.
