Komi Can’t Communicate Season 3 is an awaited season of the popular slice of life comedy romantic anime series Komi Can’t Communicate that follows a high school girl named Shoko Komi who suffers from social anxiety disorder and feel super shy in talking to a stranger.
Her aim is to make 100 friends but will she able to make even one with that level of shyness? The anime TV series is all about her journey to make that happen while overcoming her fears. In her journey, she also meets the love of her life, Tadano Hitohito.
Directed by Ayumu Watanabe and written by Deko Akao, the sweet romance anime is based on the original manga series Komi Can’t Communicate written and illustrated by Tomohito Oda.
The Japanese manga has been serialized in Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday since May 2016 and has published more than 20 volumes. An anime adaptation was announced in May 2021 and the series started airing on 7 Oct 2021.

‘Komi has a communication disorder’ anime director Ayumu Watanabe has also shared his excitement to direct the upcoming seasons of the series.
He revealed in an exclusive interview with Looper that any director would love to work on whatever they are working on until the end. Ayumu said that he would love to direct other seasons, at least until they graduate.
Komi Can’t Communicate Season 3 Release Date and Time
Season 1 was released in Oct 2021 while the second released in 27 April 2022. In that way, Komi Can’t Communicate Season 3 should be released in Jan 2023 but that doesn’t happen because the series didn’t receive any renewal.
However, the second season of the anime ended with a promising gesture from Shoko Komi in which she is wishing Tadano to have another good year together.
As the season ended with an open scene, we can expect Komi San season 3 to continue the story from Komi’s second year. As she is seen wishing Tadano, that means she and him are definitely in the same class this year too.
If the renewal is announced before July 2023 then we can expect Komi Can’t Communicate Season 3 to be released around March 2024 like the previous two seasons. It will have a total of 12 episodes.
