With the production of original shows like Swagger and Ted Lasso, Apple TV+ has emerged as one of the most popular subscription streaming service among Americans. Created by Dana Fox and Dara Resnik, the American mystery drama series follows the story of a young girl from Brooklyn who moves to a small coastal town. In an attempt to become a journalist like her father, she starts capturing and reporting stories at the age of eight.
The special part about this teen drama series is that, it’s loosely based on the true story of Hilde Lysiak, the youngest member of the ‘Society of Professional Journalists’ and the publisher of Orange Street News, a local newspaper in Sellinsgrove, Pennsylvania from 2014-2019 and in Patagonia, Arizona from 2019-2020.
Home Before Dark Season 3 Release Date and Time
Season 1 of Home Before Dark was announced in 2018 with Brooklyn Prince in the main role of young journalist. Filming began in Nov 2018 and wrapped in April 2019 but the series premiered two on 3 April 2020.
The series was renewed for a second season even before the premiere of first season on Apple TV+ and the filming began in January 2020 that lasted till June 2020. Production team of the series halted the filming on 13 March due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. At that time, the fourth episode “Dark Rooms” of Home Before Dark Season 2 was being filmed.
Filming resumed in Sep 2020 and concluded in January 2021, as per the report from Directors Guild of Canada. The first episode of the second season aired on 11 June 2021 after five months of post production.
Similarly, if the series has been renewed for a third season in 2023 then the filming will start soon but most likely, Home Before Dark series will will not return for a third season because Apple TV+ usually clears the future of a series within 2-3 months of orignal premiere and 2 years have been passed since the last season release.

If Home Before Dark Season 3 has to be made then Brooklyn Prince will definitely return as the little girl named Hilde in Home Before Dark series. Then, we have Jim Sturgess as the father of Hilde and Abby Miller as her mom Bridget Jensen while Kylie Rogers is starring in her sister’s role Izzy Lisko. The series also includwa Jibrail Nantambu and Deric McCabe as the best friends of Hile namely Donny and Wesley.
Is there a trailer for Home Before Dark season 3?
No trailer or teaser has been released for the Home Before Dark season 3 and that will be released only if there will be an official announcement from the side of creators. Till that time, you can watch two complete seasons that are currently available for Apple TV+ subscribers.
What to expect from Home Before Dark season 3?
The series is based on the true story of a young girl who moves from the Brooklyn city to settle in a small lakeside town her father left behind and started investigating every small incident that was happening in her area.
Since the show is about the life of Hilde, we can expect to see more of her stories that are left unexplored in these two seasons. But let me ask you a question, how much can you explore the life of a 16 year old girl.
