The release date for most anticipated Hocus Pocus 2 has been finally revealed! Sanderson Sisters are returning this Halloween to create more destruction crack more idiotic jokes. First film was originated in 1993 and managed to put a spell on many fans throughout the decades. At that time, the movie was directed by Kenny Ortega that ended on a cliffhanger leaving the possibilities to return some day in the future.
Finally, the year has arrived when we get to see the witches once again creating ruckus with their spells. The Hocus Pocus sequel is directed by Anne Fletcher, written by Jen D’ Angelo, and produced under Walt Disney Pictures. This time the story will begin after 29 long years of the first movie.
Hocus Pocus 2 Release Date and Time
Producer Adam Shankman took to Instagram to reveal that the filming has wrapped up officially and set to premiere on Halloween 2022. While the film’s actual air date is yet to be announced, Disney has confirmed that the sequel will arrive sometime during this Halloween, so the film is expected to release before 31st October.
The original discussion to renew the 1993 film was began in 2014 when the former stars express their interest to reprise their roles for a sequel. In 2019, it was officially confirmed that a new part is in development with Jen D’Angelo hired as the screenplay writer.
Adam Shankman was hired as the film director but got replaced by Fletcher later in April 2021. Then, the filming began in the 18 October 2021 and wrapped up on 27 Jan 2022 inside Newport, Rhode Island. Hocus Pocus 2 is now in post production period.
Who will Cast in Hocus Pocus 2?
Most of all the characters will return to reprise their roles from the first movie along with some new faces including the grand entry of Ted Lasso Emmy winner Hannah Waddingham. Fan favorite Doug Jones will play the role of Billy while Tony Hale is assigned to play two roles.

What to expect from Hocus Pocus sequel?
In 1993 original, a teenager accidentally revives three evil witches known as Sanderson sisters who make erotic jokes regarding virginity. The story of 2022 movie will also follow the similar storyline with a twist.
The official synopsis reads: Three high schoolers namely Becca(Whitney Peak), Izzy(Belissa Escobedo), and Cassie(Lilia Buckingham) accidentally frees the Sanderson sisters in a modern day salem. In order to save the world, the teenagers must stop the child-hungry witches from creating havoc.
Nothing much is available regarding the plot of the movie but the clouds of suspense will clear to some extent with a new trailer release. Get ready for more spectacular and thrilling experiences of Sanderson to make your Halloween memorable. The annual TV airings on Disney Channel and DVD releases has favored the film and turned it into a cult classic.
