Field Day is a 2023 Hallmark comedy film starring Rachel Boston and Benjamin Ayres as the two parents looking for love while working together on their school field’s day.
Directed by David Winning from the screenplay of Julie Sherman Wolfe, the movie follows a single mother named Jen who find love as she joins the school teacher parent organization after moving to her deceased husband’s hometown with her young son.
The movie is produced by Jamie Goehring, Shawn Williamson, and Kevin Leslie for the Hallmark Channel and distributed by Lionsgate Television.
Field Day Filming Locations
Field Day was filmed in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Some scenes were also done in the small town of Fernie, British Columbia. The town’s picturesque scenery and charming atmosphere provide the perfect backdrop for this heartwarming story.
Some of the landmarks featured in the movie includes Stanley Park and the historic Gastown located in the neighbourhood of Vancouver. The shooting was done during fall 2022, cast members revealed. The fictional Rock Oak School is actually Lord Byng Secondary School located in the West Point Grey.
Attar shared an amazing photo of him along with the actress Carmel Amit, who is playing the role of his wife during the shoot in Sep 2022. Carmel returned the favor by posting an image in the same outfift on her instagram, the following day.

What is the plot of Field Day?
The movie is about a widowed mother named Jen, who has recently moved back to her deceased husband’s hometown. She is struggling to adjust to her new life as a single mom, but she’s determined to give her son the best possible childhood.
On her way to Tommy’s school, she met two other moms namely Marissa and Kelly. Marissa is a high-powered lawyer who is used to being in control, while Kelly is a social media mom who is always trying to maintain her perfect image.
At first, the three moms clash, but they soon realize that they need to work together to make the field day a success. As they work together, they also bond over their shared experiences and learn the importance of supporting each other.
Moreover, Jen falls for the PE teacher Dan who is probably feeling the same pain as she is going through. The he man is stuck in a difficult divorce situation and don’t want to give up on her wife. It will be interesting to see how Jen will learn to let go of her grief and move on with her life.
